I think she graduated from the academy early and I also think she awakened her sharingan before him. Ultimately she was not that strong but would probably be about the same strength as some of the other side characters in Naruto if she grew up.

It is a huge disappointment. The only explanation I can think of is that it would have been costly and time-consuming to create a whole bunch of character models showing Itachi, Izumi, their children and various others at different stages in their lives.

Dont be so angry tho. I think Itachi isnt planned to become a Hokage for reasons. I know that he did all the thing just to keep the village safe but for the most part is for Sasuke. Dont u remember when Tobi talked to Sasuke about Itachi's past? He said to Itachi, Sasuke is even more important than the Leaf village meanwhile to a Hokage, no one is more important than anyone. In the novel, Izumi's death scene is really remarkable which indicates that they were in love... Atleast Izumi loved him a lot
