  • What can you see in a day walking around New York's Manhattan ?
We took a FREE Staten Island ferry from New Jersey (to catch a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty !!), and took a walk from the Battery Park all the way to Central Park...
BTW, the Battery Park is one of the places to visit the Statue of Liberty and the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration !
Just keep in mind, it takes half a day to do that !
But a full day of walking around Manhattan we visited the sights seen in this video:
    Battery Park
Wall Street/Charging Bull/New York Stock Exchange
    Trinity Church
9/11 Memorial Pools/One World Trade Center
    Berlin Wall Art
    St. Paul's Chapel
    Brooklyn Bridge/Brooklyn Bridge Park/DUMBO
    Union Square
    Empire State Building
    Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library
    SUMMIT One Vanderbilt
    Grand Central Terminal
    United Nations Headquarters
    Times Square
    Rockefeller Center
Pier 86 at Hudson River Park/USS Intrepid
    High Line Boardwalk
....and finished our day with biking around Central Park, and hanging out at Times Square at night !!
Granted, there are not enough hours in one day to see everything this magnificent city has to offer 🥺 but most pf the attractions could be explored along Broadway... taking subway is also a great, fast, cheap, and SAFE way to explore the city !
    🔥 A FEW TIPS 🔥
Staten Island ferry is a great way to see the Statue of Liberty, and New York's skyline for FREE !!
You can do it from both Battery Park in New York, or St. George Ferry Terminal in New Jersey
Be extremely careful around Battery Park and stay away from "ambassadors" who are legitimate scammers (b/c cops literally can't do anything about them), and only buy tickets to the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island from the office at Castle Clinton National Monument (or better yet, online !!)
A great walking day trip would be walking from the Battery Park to Central Park, then taking subway back (or either way)
The hardest choice to make is to decide which observation deck to opt for (Top of the Rock Observation Deck, SUMMIT One Vanderbilt Experience, Edge Observation Deck, or Empire State Building... we opted in for the letter - • Empire State Building ... )
Another cool option to see the city from the above for FREE is from the roof of Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library, or for a small fee from the cabin of the Roosevelt Island Tramway !
Use bathrooms every time you have a chance !! There are not that many around Manhattan 😡
Save on food by bringing your own snacks, or survive of pizza slices (that you can still find (mostly around upper Manhattan) for anything between $1-$10 (for two slices and a can of Cola!)
If you decide to buy from one of the street vendors, and paying with a debit/credit card, MAKE SURE TO ASK/CHECK YOUR RECEIPT ! Those scumbags will overcharge you for anything !!
If you decide to explore/bike around Central Park, give anything between 2-6 hours as there are so many cool things to see/do in the park !!
If you decide to go biking, there are a few rental places around the park (we got our bikes at Ride in Central Park (7th Avenue and 59th Street, Central Park S, New York, NY 10019)
SAFETY... We visited New York in September 2024, and to our surprise, we felt very safe ! Even at night in Times Square, and on the subway !
    ...BUT... to be safe, carry a mace and/or a knife/tactical pen - amzn.to/4g55jZM
