Just my opinion but it helps fill the stage plus they have the 5 background panels so it's basically 1 per person and they each stand in front of 1, also billy likes to move around

Also when they do solos it's easier to make each player stand out

It's a big stage show with lots of special lighting rigs overhead, camera placements etc
