It's amazing how poorly this video aged in just 2 years. Not because of Eddy, but because of just how terrible most of these services became in only 2 years.
I feel like something missing from this list is an “international” option. I think it’s cool to learn what countries have other shows, and even if we don’t get English dubs of shows like Dragon Ball Z, it’d be nice to have the option to switch regions and view what’s already there. Same for all other countries and shows from other regions. Netflix is sort of stale for me now but hearing what is in other regions would definitely have me pick it up a bit more.
I know this might not be as useful to everyone else but I appreciate how Netflix has a download feature where you can download some shows or movies and watch them offline and it's pretty cool if you don't have unlimited data.
bro there should be an option of "i've already seen this" so i can get recommendations related to a show or movie i watched on theaters or in a friends house, but not on my account and i dont wanna watch it again
I agree with most of this by you are the first person I’ve heard who actually LIKES auto play. I think having auto play should be an option that you have to choose on setup (and could change later if you wanted)
The only thing I look for when finding a pirated show is autoplay. I don't wanna get out of bed to go to the next episode. Although now I bought a wireless mouse so it's not an issue. Edit: Now I watched the video and know that I was thinking about something else. Yeah, I don't like that feature but like everything, it should be optional. I hate when services remove a feature. Like RUclips removing annotations was very dumb. They should have just made them not available to add anymore but kept them on old videos.
i'm almost positive you can turn the sound off of the autoplay in settings on netflix, but it's so annoying for it to start as soon as you accidentally hover on a show or whatever

I’m glad someone is FINALLY talking about how good The Imagineering Story is. Maybe I’m biased cuz I’m autistic and my special interest is Disneyland (specifically vintage) but that documentary is so entertaining and interesting and so good through and through. Plus you find out why Matterhorn Bobsleds is such a painful ride…. It’s cuz the guy who designed it needed to learn trigonometry in a week and he previously only designed cars 💀
On an old fire stick my hulus tts turned on and I couldn’t turn it off anywhere, so when you opened hulu it was the most annoying shit, and the ads were even worse. It was always such a jumpscare cuz it was only hulu
One feature I'd like, as someone who rewatches stuff, I'd appreciate an option for if you select an episode that you were partway through, it'd give a pop-up asking if you wanted to pick up where you left off, or start the episode over. So far the closest I've gotten is Netflix's start the whole series over option.
Another thing I like about Netflix UI is they've got a great algorithm when it comes to knowing what's in an episode. (There's a skip recap button, skip intro button, it'll autoplay the next episode but if there's an after credit scene it won't, and fuck I wish more streaming services had those quality of life changes.) Another con to Netflix is cuties.
i want every streaming service can have controls to move forward or back 10 seconds so that if my mom if in the room i can skip boob but if im alone i can replay boob
I signed my Netflix onto my moms phone when she had a long hospital stay. The next day I saw a new profile had accidentally been made called “George Michael Documentary” God bless her.
i like how teleparty, a browser extention you can use to connect with people online on most of the good streaming services he mentioned, was something he did not know about at the time of him making this video.
The fact that Netflix cancelled shows so often is getting on my nerves I’d find someone great like Anne With An E or Daybreak and find out they suddenly got canceled or dropped even if they were popular got me. And the 3 seasons things makes no sense if I like a show I tend to watch it passed 3 other wise why would anyone watch True Blood or Game of Thrones.
Mr. ElectriDictator that’s your opinion...there are people who liked it and didn’t like that sudden cliffhanger like me. If it’s not ur cup of tea ok but it was a good show for the people who liked it.

It's a little odd to me that you say "We all know Hulu" when I really don't know Hulu because it's not available in the UK. Also, I feel you missed an important point for Prime with the xray feature. It's just so good for quality of life and extra interesting tidbits.
Yeah the X-ray feature is cool but i wish i could disable it from automatically showing me the X-ray stuff when the HUD is on, especially the timestamped trivia part of it, because sometimes it spoils things that are about to happen. And because it can get in the way of what youre watching. It's nice that it has the songs and actors and everything right there for you though. Idk if it even does that on TVs or computers, but it does it on my iPad and it's super annoying.
@@xant8344 That sounds pretty rough. I've never used it on a tablet but i watch a lot of stuff on PC and it's not usually an issue. I guess having a smaller screen can make it more annoying
Yea in general this was very America-centric... HBO is also USA only afaik, and the tv channels' streaming services aren't really a thing outside the states bc those are American channels?? It'd be like my Canadian ass talking about CBC Gem or Crave and acting like everyone would be familiar with it...
5:30 Disney+ is for Disney's family friendly stuff and everything else goes on Hulu Also, I actually feel like the rating system on Netflix is less confusing now bc the stars were content matching too but everyone thought they were like reviews
thankfully for me, they still have some shows on both platforms like star vs and gravity falls. if d+ kept up with the cable airings of their current shows it would be a lot better, but instead they come to the platform months after the entire season already ended. as someone who mainly watches cartoons and anime it is not very enticing
The best one is tubi. Just because I dont have to pay anything and it really doesn't show that many ads. Sure it's sometimes not the best selection but it's free. There have been some really cool shows/movies i found though. Oh yeah did I mention free?
my only criticism: "underwhelming originals" for amazon prime when they've got good omens on there (then again i haven't watched anything ELSE on there, so.... maybe 2 good originals DOES mean it's underwhelming in the grand scheme of things lmfao)
Ok yes to everything you said except. For the love of god turn off autoplay on smart TVs. It works well on a computer where you have a mouse to navigate but not on a tv where it autoplays every time you move past one show over to another. Gross.
So since this video they've actually implemented a "watch party" feature with Disney Plus, but the problem is different profiles under the same membership can't do it? You have to have different memberships. However you can send yourself an invite, so last week I was trying to watch a video with my family, and we all live in different places, so we all had to go onto my profile to watch the movie together.
Disney+ UI does need some work, at least in the areas that you gave as examples of, but you cannot deny that the way they sort content by brand with those clean logos that animate when you hover over them on the main menu is just BEAUTIFUL.
I thought of something crazy what if there was an ad that before it plays it always has to say warning this may cause loss of hearing with the loud noise
Netflix used to have that. They made personalised playlists of things too which would shuffle episodes of sitcoms etc that you watched. Don't know why they removed it:/
I really just want Netflix to keep the "continue watching" bar in the same place instead of making me hunt for it everytime, and make it so I can easily remove things I didn't finish because I didn't like them from it. And let me remove things from my watchlist without resetting me back to the start of the watchlist every time, and put a godamn series description on tv shows rather than the description that is supposed to tell me what the show is about is just the episode 1 description which is super unhelpful for figuring out what the show is about.
I bet if your TV volume was high enough when you open Netflix it would shatter every window in your house and send shockwaves through the neighborhood.

Disney+ was pretty bare bones but after adding Star it really elevated them much higher and once all their new original shows come to Disney+ then it definitely will turn into a must buy
If he's in America, then I don't think he gets to have STAR, since STAR is the international version of Hulu's content (minus the Live TV since Hulu is US only)
There’s a google extension that allows for a “Netflix party” type thing where u sync ur movie with someone and have a live chat to talk to them while ur watching
hey eddie so like....... Tubi is free and theres a decent amount of good content and A WHOLE LOT of cringe content and i love that. Keeps things interesting. you should maybe check them out lol
Also with Disney, when you click on a movie you're done with, but haven't watched the credits it'll just stay in your "continue watching" and there's no "restart" button, so you have to rewind yourself like I had to with VHS tapes. Even CDs had, restart buttons
my main issue with streaming services that came after netflix is the ones that were just netflix with ads like i have streaming services to not have ads but then they just put ads to make you pay more money
i am so mad at netflix for cancelling shows the way they do because like i understand the lack of viewership but ending a season on a cliffhanger and then cancelling it is just bad marketing and viewer retention

Every minute of The Untamed is beautiful, and I *will* be watching it all every time, damnit!!!
In BoJack it was very annoying to watch the final episode and instead of just being able to sit and think whilst Mr Blue played, I got interrupted by a trailer for Big Mouth. Sure Netflix, after one of the best and thought provoking finales ever I want it soured by Big Mouth...

Yesss I would like this so much. I think it would be harder for the service because of all the different distribution rights and stuff tho.
And that’s why the video was sponsored by express VPN
Emi F Yeah but this was the PERFECT Streaming service regardless of cost lmao
netflix actually has a lot of great foreign content, especially east asian shows
Legally they cant do that though because they'd be violating the streaming rights for different shows in different countries
The only thing that bugs me about Netflix is that sometimes it won’t give me the description of the show just the description of the first episode

I agree with most of this by you are the first person I’ve heard who actually LIKES auto play. I think having auto play should be an option that you have to choose on setup (and could change later if you wanted)
It’s horrible on TV but on pc I don’t mind
The only thing I look for when finding a pirated show is autoplay. I don't wanna get out of bed to go to the next episode. Although now I bought a wireless mouse so it's not an issue. Edit: Now I watched the video and know that I was thinking about something else. Yeah, I don't like that feature but like everything, it should be optional. I hate when services remove a feature. Like RUclips removing annotations was very dumb. They should have just made them not available to add anymore but kept them on old videos.

(There's a skip recap button, skip intro button, it'll autoplay the next episode but if there's an after credit scene it won't, and fuck I wish more streaming services had those quality of life changes.)
Another con to Netflix is cuties.

It's a little odd to me that you say "We all know Hulu" when I really don't know Hulu because it's not available in the UK.
Also, I feel you missed an important point for Prime with the xray feature. It's just so good for quality of life and extra interesting tidbits.
I wonder what percent of his demographic is in the UK...
Yeah the X-ray feature is cool but i wish i could disable it from automatically showing me the X-ray stuff when the HUD is on, especially the timestamped trivia part of it, because sometimes it spoils things that are about to happen. And because it can get in the way of what youre watching. It's nice that it has the songs and actors and everything right there for you though. thankfully for me, they still have some shows on both platforms like star vs and gravity falls. if d+ kept up with the cable airings of their current shows it would be a lot better, but instead they come to the platform months after the entire season already ended. as someone who mainly watches cartoons and anime it is not very enticing

Another good potential option is to have a 'shuffle' feature for when you want to watch a show but aren't particular about the episodes/seasons.
Do you want to watch Scott's Tots? Because that's how you watch Scott's Tots
I can barely think of any shows that that would be good for
Netflix used to have that. They made personalised playlists of things too which would shuffle episodes of sitcoms etc that you watched. Don't know why they removed it:/
I think about that like twice a week, yeah. Would be awesome (also, if you could make "playlists" of episodes from different shows)
I really just want Netflix to keep the "continue watching" bar in the same place instead of making me hunt for it everytime, and make it so I can easily remove things I didn't finish because I didn't like them from it. And let me remove things from my watchlist without resetting me back to the start of the watchlist every time, and put a godamn series description on tv shows rather than the description that is supposed to tell me what the show is about is just the episode 1 description which is super unhelpful for figuring out what the show is about.
