I honestly think doing tutorials is a great start to coming up with your own ideas eventually. I think some builders grow out of tutorials sooner or later and just build their own builds.
This seems like a lot of effort for a starter house. Sea pickles, brewing stand, bookshelves and it also requires a large amount of 3 different types of wood. It seems that a starter would have some difficulty gathering these resources. However, I do have to give it to you- the design looks flawless, the use of campfires is very smart, and the build fits very well with the forest.
Hey, I love your builds, but you haven’t shown a really epic base for once you beat the game (after starter bases). I’d really like to see like a huge mansion. Also I love that you show interior design, most you tubers just show outside... and I’d say interior is harder than exterior
Speaking of interior is harder the exterior is more harder I mean when he started the video he didn’t show us how long the house was gonna be like say for example 12 on the left side and 6 on the front side he didn’t really Edit it for the beginning to look how long the house was gonna be so next time fouil will have to do it when he starts building the mansion like how long it is.
What is more beautiful than a wooden and a little bit small house in the woods... Imagine you are walking in the woods at night, and inside the dark you see a small wooden house that will offer you a hot tea....
I actually thought of this, one day I'll spawn into a snowy biome and make a tiny, cozy cottage with some signs saying "You look tired, traveller. Take a rest." Then I'll wait and see if anyone that plays with me actually comes in and I'll let them chill out maybe even move it id they want
Quick tip to anyone building this or dealing with building with campfires, you don't need water to put them out. You can just right-click on it with a shovel.

Good luck with building it! :) This video is a bit old, so it might be rough to follow, but there are new build guides on the channel that don't have such an issue. But some of them are also a lot bigger, so naturally a lot more time consuming!

Built mine out of dark oak instead of spruce and it looks just as nice kept some of the spruce trapdoors and oak trapdoors
