Hello Everyone - Pauline Loven here, Crow’s Eye Production’s Costumier and Producer. We have worked with some fabulous talent on this small film, I hope you all enjoy it.
@calicocloth it was such a privilege to work with you, Nicole and the super talented Crowseye team once again. All your hard work and dedication shine through in this beautiful little film and as ever I’m in awe. Thank you. xxx
We absolutely love welcoming Crow's Eye to our home at The Old Rectory, having known the Loven's for many years, and support everything they do. Massive respect for their historic authenticity and quality filming. Eran & Linda Bauer.
Mr Darcy was blessed with absolutely GORGEOUS eyes!! One could get lost in them for hours, Miss Bennet is a lucky lady indeed!! 😊 And might I add how lovely his smile is at the end?? 🤩 But for real, I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF THIS VIDEO!!!! You picked the most amazing actors!! Bingley teasing his good friend, and Darcy winking back at him!! Dear Mrs Bennet being both so aware and unaware of things at the same time is delightful! Also, Bingley being so good at managing all the lovebirds some privacy!! And Darcy's very apparent love during his declaration!! I got excited giggles like a teenager watching this!! 😍😍 Kudos to all the people involved in the creation of this GEM!! It is truly MARVELOUS!!!
Thank you so much for making British historical fashion and culture accessible for us and for giving us yet another adaptation of Pride & Prejudice. I can never get enough!
Crow's Eye's production of the film clearly required a great deal of effort. The actors and actresses are exquisitely attired; the costumes stand out, and the historical detail shines through. The film is worthy of an award for excellence.
Colin Firth was excellent as Darcy, but THIS Darcy's nose is what I pictured when reading the novel.....and this Lizzy 's looks and expressions are very sweet. Totally awesome production.
The film came out great! Glad to have played a tiny part with my contribution. Loved seeing the banter between Bingley and Darcy. As for the Darcy dressing portion, I was struck by the point you made about the banyan being the last remaining opportunity for (wealthy) men of the Regency era to wear the fine silks and patterns of the previous eras that used to be part of their everyday wear. However, I do like the more structured, clean and austere look that began in that era-- well fitted waistcoats and jackets, tight breeches and high boots.
@CrowsEyeProductions @calicocloth Thank you from the heart 💝 Pauline, the costumes were absolutely sublime! And Bravo!! 🙌 🙌 to the cast and crew, the production was-as all Crow’s Eye productions are-unparalleled!! The only thing I hoped for was an explanation of ALL the costumes! 🥰 I was especially interested in Mrs. Bennett’s turban and how clothing changed as girls grew to womanhood and brides became mothers. Have you considered a second version, like a -Director’s- Costumier’s Cut? It would be wonderful to hear about the pride and prejudice in each character’s clothing choices, WHY they wore them, what was considered attractive at the time, and how their choices helped (or hindered) the desired look. As an example, if Lydia dressed much older than appropriate or too revealingly, how exactly did she achieve this? Or Mr. Collins’ choices as a parson trying to ingratiate himself with Lady Catherine-what would he have chosen to wear? Sorry this message is so long, you’ve ignited my curiosity! ☺️✨ Merry Christmas to all, and congratulations once again.
This is glorious and yet another triumph for Crows Eye productions. The costumes are sublime, beautifully tailored (those Britches alone are a masterpiece) and the Banyan! All the costumes are a period fashion plate come to life - A shout out to the very talented young cast and of course, the talented crew for the beautiful Lighting Camerawork - and Sound of course. Now I have to go and Binge Watch all of your efforts again, from the beginning ❤❤❤ Many Thanks
I find it really interesting the way you altered it slightly from the book. Like, "Mr. What's-His-Name" was from a different meeting than the one where Lizzie and Darcy got engaged, but it was too good to not include. haha. I always imagined Kitty being coerced into the walk instead of asking to go since, according to the book, she was too afraid of Darcy to talk. lol
I am so glad the girls hair is worn up this time. 😆 It was bugging me the last time, unless maybe that was because Bingley's first visit was unexpected?
Love love love! Simply gorgeous! I do love these earlier fashions, prefer them to the later Regency era. I'm going to now re-watch the earlier video you made on Pride and Prejudice. ❤
Aww..I wanted more! Love watching the clothing ritual The acting was great and they all seemed very natural Well done all..sounds like there’s a big crush on Darcy's actor ❤️🇨🇦
Amazing job by everyone. I am honoured ti have have been able to join the premier and look forward to researching this to catch as many details as I can. Thank you to everyone for sharing this work of love 💕
Mrs. Bennett: Lady Catherine must have said something of note. Lizzie: I can assure you I have told you all. Mrs. Bennet: I don't believe that for a moment. Mrs. Bennet is a smart woman. 😆 Or, at least, smarter than people give her credit for. 😂
Great video as always! But I had an unfortunate first encounter with the „Auto translation“ feature. A robotic female voice butchered everything and mad it impossible to enjoy the visuals until I managed to get the original audio. I am not sure if turning on the Automatic audio translation will do your channel any favours.
Modern watch. You could use an old watch which are not too expensive if they don't work. You could have put more work into the hairstyle of the ladies to make it more 1790s look. But not too bad. Good video.
Are you from Germany as well? It was my first encounter with the Automatic audio translation and it was truly terrible!!! Took me a while to find the way but you can change the audio back to original in the settings.

Love to see it, well done!
Just a day or two ago I was wondering why I hadn't seen anything from you all in my feed and ages, and it's so good to see you're still out there
Okay...hire this man to be the Darcy in the new Netflix version. This was lovely. Thank you!

Thank you so much for your support over the years!
It is always a pleasure to film in your beautiful home, and doesn’t it look gorgeous. Thank you both so much.
And thank you for opening up your beautiful home, this is all magical, and true

That was marvellous. Merry Christmas.
"Mom can we go hang out with the guys?" "Ok but bring your little sister" 😂
Colin Firth was excellent as Darcy, but THIS Darcy's nose is what I pictured when reading the novel.....and this Lizzy 's looks and expressions are very sweet. Totally awesome production.
The wink at 6:05 is perfection. 😂 It looks like Mrs. Bennett winking at Kitty weren't the only winks in this story. 😆
Lizzie's bonnet at the end with the purple ribbon was just gorgeous!
Beautiful costumes.
Found myself blushing; you picked a very handsome Mr. Darcy!
Okay fine I’ll rewatch the bbc show for the hundredth time

The chemistry was just unreal, I want these two to play in the next full length rendition! So lovely.
Thank you for making this film. Please continue with the wonderful work.

Oh my gosh, I JUST realised Darcy elbowed Bingley when he suggested they "all might go"!! 😂😂😂
Awesome adaptation!! Happy Holidays and, thanks for the joyful video, I absolutely adore it 💕😇💕
An absolute delight! Thank you for sharing your talents with us!
crowseyeproductions you will always be iconic
This is wonderful. I am all for more Pride and Prejudice content. I LOVE Kitty’s pink dress, especially. I wish I had one just like it to wear!
Such a fantastic production and cast! Everyone really outdid themselves with this one. :)
This is amazing and watching this exquisite work of art has made my day! Thank you!
I'm really looking forward to this one!! Your work is awesome Crows Eye Productive team!!!

I ran faster than Charlotte after she heard about Mr.Collins is still on the market and needs some consolation when I saw the notification.
Beautiful❣️ Thank You.
Thank you for this amazinng film of jane austen. Really enjoyed the costumes and settings.❤❤❤
To quote our Lord and Savior, Squidward:
"Oh no! He's hot!"
Wonderful! Thank you so much!
Beautiful attention to detail
So beautiful! Really pretty!
Loved this❤
Oh this was beautiful! I loved all the little details! Oh but how I wonder how poor Mrs. Bennet will react to such news!
I absolutely loved working on this project with everyone. Thank you for such an amazing experience 🥰
Loved every second ❤
BRAVO!
I loved it!
beautifully made!
Amazing job by everyone. I am honoured ti have have been able to join the premier and look forward to researching this to catch as many details as I can. Thank you to everyone for sharing this work of love 💕
Oh my goddess! This kiss🥰😍😘 ....
Thank you very much for charming video ❤
That was delightful!
Mrs. Bennett: Lady Catherine must have said something of note.
Lizzie: I can assure you I have told you all.
Mrs. Bennet: I don't believe that for a moment.
Mrs. Bennet is a smart woman. 😆 Or, at least, smarter than people give her credit for. 😂
Dull women rarely have intelligent daughters. The problem with Mrs. Bennett is inappropriate education and unworthy goals fostered by the same.
Yes, a hundred thousand times Thums-up!
I'd really like something victorian Christmassy themed 😻

Seriously... I BEG OF THEE how are Darcy's fly buttoned breeches made? Is there a pattern to be had ?

It would be exquisite if you did George and Martha Washington.
If men still dressed like this today, I'd never get any work.
Some of the dialogue synchronization is rather off. The clothes are to die for though.
LOVE large strong noses on men. Mr Darcy is very handsome indeed!
....what is it with the weird AI voice in german?
Are you from Germany as well?
It was my first encounter with the Automatic audio translation and it was truly terrible!!!

@evaweiss1160 Yup, genau das haha
