I’ve bought one of these and I love it for use with my puck stove. It lives in my daypack along with a foldable windshield as well as the puck stove. Great little setup especially for wet and windy days.
Sheet metal is usually cold rolled which introduces stress. When heated the stress is relieved which will show itself in distortion. After being fired up a few times the stresses will have gone and the stove will be stable. In short the warping, what little there is, won't last that long. This design is easy to dismiss due to its simplicity but, as you have shown, it's far more sophisticated than one would see at first glance. Looks like I'm going to buy yet another stove.
Nice little bit of kit! What's also is nice, after many tries i finally got my hands on a patch of yours! 🎉 I think my first comment ever here was on the design of the logo. so i'm happy that i can now show my support for this channel! Thanks Neil for all your work! 🖖😎
Can confirm if works great with the puck stove, been using both for a few months now, perfect combination. If you want to put a bigger pot on it turn it upside down .😊
Trangia doesn't work as well because of the height but useable if you make a recess. Puck lid makes for a good gel burner on the solid fuel plate as another option.
Another top review on a cheap stove cum windbreak, just ordered one to keep in my knapsack for woodland walks. Also got one of your patches to cover a rip in my windbreaker after a trip and my keys ripping a hole in the front pouch.
Be careful-there seems to be strawberry leaves -you want strawberries in the spring, right? Looks similar to the original "walderdbeeren" (EEuropean wild strawberry)here-the small, very tasty ones that were later crossed with the bigger American ones that are the base of all modern graden variety, if I m not mistaken...

Received mine today. Works beautifully with a Trangia gel burner and fire dragon gel blocks.

I like this little stove a lot, I think it will work great, one problem… they don’t send it to the Netherlands 😢
Been looking for something just like this. As always thanks for the great review, just ordered mine 👍🏼

nice one Neil, just ordered mine. :) 👍✌🖖
Mine arrived today just tried it with one cup of water, windy day but only took 7.30 mins to a rolling boil.
Great bit of kit
Hay Neil hope you and your family are well.
What are the dimensions of your puck stove please
Thank you Ant
Will a Trangia fit, or is it a little taller than the puck stove? ✌️🇺🇸🇬🇧✌️

Trangia is too tall, I've tried it. Perfect for the puck stove though especially if you only using a small pot. 👍🏻

Well dang only ships in the UK. Great look kit tho.
Can’t grumble for that price, Neil 😉👍🏼
What kind of cup and lid is that?

They are wild strawberries, the group is carpeted with them in the summer
