True, I'm just a bit curious as well ! How could they authenticate without witnessing it?!? Wtf, how can they authenticate witness picaso? This is Kobe, this is much more recent to authenticate.

How can they tell if someone wrote slow or not??
lol he lied and passed the buck of blame onto the authenticators, because the alternative was to admit the signature is fake. For starters, when they look at signatures they're not looking to perfect matches that look identical, they're looking at the fine details, like pressure and lines and how they usually shape letters in a general fashion. The signature on that ball is so vastly different than actually authenticated signatures that there are not even minor similarities in it. Almost as if it was written with a different hand with a different grip making different strokes. Hence why the authenticators went about describing the fine details. But it's also not an exact science, which is why they use words like "our opinion" the same way a historian might say "in my opinion" about some historical fact. Because you cannot be 100% certain, and why would them being dead make it so the rules change. Might as well say you don't authenticate ANY signatures unless you witness it, whether their dead or alive. Their story makes no fucking sense whatsoever. He lied, and lied more, and then accused others of doing wrong.

That is how they determine if it’s real or not. Vincent Price would draw himself above his signature. Walt Disney would do a Mickey Mouse after his signature.
That's right I went to the bank after losing my id and the staff on that day did not know me however they checked my signature and it was slightly different and they questioned this itwas virtually the same except one part was more elongated etc anyway I explained I only needed a few hundred besides you got cameras and I know x who works on Friday and so on so they gave it to me . However that signiture was signed 15-20 years ago when I opened it so off course it would not be 100% matched it was 98% the 2% was the elongated part but anyone could tell it was similar also I wrote it fast because most people can't forge unless they do it slowly and can do it fast after extensive practice but I wanted to sign fast to show its mine.
Anyway yeah you are right no two signatures are EXACTLY the same

Dude seemed legit tbh and what he's saying makes sense as it's a very "hot" product to fake so they don't want there name against possible fakes

The fact that the seller somehow never brought anything to the authenticators as they barely tricked people by stealing their money and handing out a piece of paper is very unnice.
The customer service alone would make me keep the ball. Gotta love great customer service
Seriously, the Kobe autograph (authentic or otherwise) is just a bonus lol

My vote is this guy is legit. The way he talks... he ain't a scammer. He just doesnt want an unhappy customer and hes clearly knowledgeable and sounded pretty exact with the way it goes.
Told you his whole backstory and everything, honestly if he’s lying he’s really really good at it, he didn’t pause or stutter like he was coming up with these details, and he immediately gave a detailed explanation of why they wouldn’t authenticate the ball, as well as his words being backed by the piece of paper they sent you for your $215
He hit all of the points and was super chill about the situation, even offered to take it back. Balls in your court man.

He’s right about Beckett to, their card grading recently took a big dive in people using them after a video came out of someone using PSA getting a 10 and then sending the exact card to Beckett and getting an 8!
And PSA it’s hard to get cards 10’s because they are really really picky
YES!!!!!
Idk how people do not know this! IG you have to be a collector to know!
Man psa just gives out 10s tbh. I’ve seen so many cards with terrible centering that got a 10
I think it’s always been like that though. BGA 10’s are unbelievably rare, they seriously don’t hand out BGA 10’s to almost anything. PSA 10’s are exponentially more common.

They are getting paid no matter they say it's fake or real....🤔
I think it’s definitely real, some of the stuff on the paper from Beckett was stuff you can’t even tell just from examining it
Well like how many people can sign their signature the same exact way everytime ? That’s what I’ve always questioned
Definitely, my sister actually got a signed poster from post Malone twice only because her best friend worked for post Malone production company so she got back stage tickets twice where she got it signed twice, one I’m 2017 and one in 2021. The thing is, the signature is quite different, the 2021 seemed like he quickly signed it, detail. 2017 Malone wrote her name and signed it with a lot more detail signature.
Exactly like on that list it says “written slowly”. How the hell can you tell if you wrote it slowly??? As well, it’s a basketball it’s gonna look different it’s a bigger signature as well, the ball has the grip ripples which makes it hard to write on.
@@dribble.2kwrld345 also the size of the marker top too would make it different size as if he signed with a needle point pen. Also who signs the same EXACT signature every time for their whole life ?
@@calebmoss3823 exactly. I don’t I mean I do now. I just stick with my initials which is DSJR but it’s still not the exact same every time. Just even like if you didn’t write signature. Just if I wrote my name alone not in cursive it’s not gonna be the exact same no matter what. As well like said in the video the list that Beckett sent it said “writing was slow”. How can they tell if someone wrote slow or not??
Who would have thought a scammer would have such good customer support!
That dude seems so chill I’d love to be friends with him tbh
He showed his anger towards the authenticators just basically taking everyone’s money.
And offered to give yours back.
That’s a cool dude.
lol he lied and passed the buck of blame onto the authenticators, because the alternative was to admit the signature is fake.
If he was a scammer, he would hang up immediately after you saying “why did PSA say it’s not authentic”
Bros gonna be still investigating this Kobe signature 30 years from now
He clearly and calmly explained why the ball is real and why the company won’t guarantee it based on fear

Next series: buying a signed micheal jordan ball❤
Maybe but the reason he started this one is because he loves Kobe and always wanted a ball unless he liked mj since he was little maybe not
If his operation is in fact shady I’d be surprised. He was well spoken, unfazed by the claim, and reasonably fair in the resolution option.
unfazed makes me wonder why he was unfazed almost as he was expecting it because he knows it's fake. Then he stuttered and doesn't say the school he went to like he didn't know the school he went to just the "neighboring high school"
@@yimmy7160 I sell and buy online. Believe when I say that his response sounds genuine and he wasn’t trying to dispute the legitimacy of the claim.
Also the name of the neighboring school is useless information and doesn’t matter much regarding the authenticity of the ball.
