We have a 2 way tie for next reaction dropping this coming Tuesday comment below if you want Romanticide Or 7 days to the wolves OMG guys the love and in depth info you are all giving is amazing from the bottom of my heart thank you all🎉🎉
Both are awesome, but Romanticide first. Thanks for being so enthousiastic guys, I'd love to welcome you to a concert, but you're a bit far from my usual venues ;-)
@@julius_appollo they are both excellent, Romanticide is at Wacken 2013, the same concert as Ghost Love Score and Storytime which I believe you've seen and is heavier. 7 Days to the Wolves is at Wembley 2015 and features replacement drummer Kai Hahto plus you'll see the sixth band member, British multi instrumentalist Troy Donockley. Take your pick.
Look at 7 days to the wolves at Wembley Arena. And Tuomas, the kyboard player, writes about 95% of the music and the songs. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Nightwish just released their 10th Album "Yesterwynde" on September 2024 and announced that they will have a break on touring and will not Tour for 2-3 years, so 2026 is their 30th year (Band founded on 1996) celebration Year, so then they might be starting a Tour, but nothing is promised yet. They did tour Canada & USA last time on year 2022 in their previous Album (Human & Nature, 9th Album, released 2020) World Tour. They have released 4 best World Tour Concert DVD's (can be found in RUclips, there are 7 Tour Releases total), 1) Showtime, Storytime (Wacken 2013, the best Concert on video, 7th Album World Tour), 2) Vehicle of Spirit (8th Album World Tour, Tampere Finland and Wembley London UK concerts on 2015-2016) 3) Decades: Live in Buenos Aires (A tour celebrating their whole Discography Hit songs up to year 2018) 4) End of an Era (2005 Helsinki Concert, right after the first vocalist Tarja Turunen was let to go or leaving, basically material from the first 5 Albums, but their 5th Album (most sold) World Tour) and there is also a Virtual/Streaming green scene type Concert kept in the middle of COVID-19 epidemia called "Virtual Live Show from the Islanders Arms 2021". Have Fun :)
It's nice of you Rap Fans toHave an open mind to listen to this different type of music. We, the fans of Nightwish and Floor Jansen are also like that, just as Floor always says: let's all have an open mind towards those who think metal music is crazy but also towards all types of music.
Maybe somebody already did write it. But this was yust there Concert. And yes they are all amazing. 12.000 people at Wembley. Hugs from a Nightwish fan from the Netherlands 🤘
I just love your enthusiam and reactions to Nightwish. Oh boy, there are sooo many goodies to come! About Floor's illness: the band toured in Finland 06/2023 and Floor was pregnant at the time. I attended the later gig at 17.6. and whole band put an amazing event on. Soon after that Floor got weak (it was hot day) and was taken to hospital.
Greetings from Liverpool UK, The songwriter is the keyboard player & co-founder of the band, Tuomas. He writes 95% of songs & music, Also, the songs you have seen so far were all written for previous singers of the band, Floor just makes them her own... New sub for this journey.. Enjoy 🤘🤘🤘
Welcome to the Nightwish family and our beautiful Queen Floor Jansen (pronounced Yansen). I saw them at Lowell, Massachusetts in 2022 and the positive energy was unbelievable. You don’t just attend a Nightwish concert, you become part of it. I have subscribed and am waiting for your next reaction to this journey called Nightwish. Greetings from Alabama 😎. P.S. Nobody looks out of place in a Nightwish concert. Peace ✌️
Nice reaction, I concur with others 7 days to the Wolves, live at Wenbley , Floor goes full Beast mode, or Tribal official live video from their 2022/23 tour
The Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean ( Buenos Aires 2018) is what I recommend. The Valkyrie Goddess( Floor)and the Viking (Marko) are singing together. ❤❤😊😊😇😇Awesome
Valkyrie monster "floor" (small letters) and the "marko" (small letters) monster too. And worst of all members is "tuomas" (small letters) the worst man on EARTH.
There is no typical Nightwish fan just lovers of great music and lyrics. Might be worth watching one of the few USA performances at Tampa FL.in 2016 playing song called Sahara. Floor was diagnosed with cancer during the 2022/23 tour and received treatment and continued touring. Then discovered that she was pregnant but still did shows through to late June until she collapsed coming off stage. Only six weeks after giving birth she recorded the singing for the whole latest Nightwish album, Yesterwynde, in her home studio. Maybe listen to the music video of An Ocean of Strange Islands.
I visited two Nightwish concerts in my live. Both in Frankfurt / Germany where I live. I can tell you: it is an experience you will never forget. And surprisingly their tickets are reasonably priced. I paid for very good seats for my wife and me around 80 bucks per ticket. That's more than fair, I think.
That's the thing about Nightwish. You get the same energy and show. Regardless if you're in a crowd of 500 or 50000. Thomas (keyboards) writes 99% of their music (both lyrics and music). Next song request "Tribal" live video
Greetings from New Zealand guys! Really enjoying your open-minded approach to Nightwish, and looking forward to more of them! Tuomas Holopainen (keyboards) composes their music. The other band members also have their input as to how they interpret the music. For example Floor changed the ending of Ghost Love Score to how you hear it now, and Emppu does his own guitar interpretations. Tuomas created Nightwish in 1996, along with guitarist Emppu Vuorinen, and the original singer, Tarja Turunen. While the band has gone through a few lineup changes over the years, his music compositions have always been consistently outstanding. He has been dubbed the Metal Mozart, and is a very complex thinker who expresses very thought provoking words in a poetic way. Tuomas and Floor are a perfect combination, him with his poetic and thought provoking writing, and she with her rare ability to intuit and convey to us through artful expression. Marko (bass player), is also a fantastic singer. Sadly he left Nightwish recently to take some time out. He and Floor are amazing together. Marko is busy with solo projects and some collaborations, and we wish him well and all the very best with those :) He was with NIghtwish a very long time, so naturally has left a big void that takes some getting used to. All the band members are masterful musicians in their own right, and have side projects. They are all such perfectionists and conscientious about what they do; you see it, and hear it in how they just are all so in sync. There are no egos in this band, just a great bunch of people who love their music. You are right in saying that this track is about not forgetting to live in the moment, which we so often do in our quest to live for the future, and/or, dwell on the past. Moments create memories, so if we miss them in the present, regret will become our constant companion as we get older. I always say that I don't want to live to 80 and wonder "what if". We cannot buy back time. As an aside, Finns generally have friendships for life, and they are very loyal. I created a United Nations family in 2001 through playing a strategy war game called Realm of Empires. I ended up 'adopting' two Finns, and Icelander, and a Faroe Islander among other lovely people from other countries, and so we became the UN Family :) They are still in the family today, some 20yrs on :) I met the Icelanders in 2019; the one in Faroe Islands is coming to New Zealand in the next couple of years, and I've no doubt I will go meet the wonderful Finns in the not too distant future :)
Great review! I saw these guys in Charlotte, NC in 2018. Only around 1000 people in a small venue. Best concert ever, 2 hours of the goddess and stunning masterpieces written by Tomas. They will hopefully tour in 2016 and I'm going, wherever they perform. Let's get a group together!
Thanks for another reaction! For now they’re not touring, they just did a long one. Hope they will be again soon, btw not that expensive to attend. Keep it coming!
The bass player and male vocalist is the mighty Marko Hietala. If you want to hear what Marko can really do vocally, you need to see him and the original female singer Tarja Turunen (a classically trained lyric soprano) singing the Phantom Of The Opera, official live video. (You'll recognise it because she's wearing a long bright yellow coat.) That video demonstrates just how powerful the singers are. I'd also highly recommend the song Creek Mary's Blood live video (from the same concert as Phantom, but this time she's wearing white), and features native American vocalist John Two Hawks.
Marko (bass guitar) has an awesome voice, from raw metal to a warm folk voice. Their tickets are not that expensive, they are not in it for the BIG money. My last ticket costed 65 bucks (in Euro’s) That was in Amsterdam. Thuomas (keys, piano) is the main composer. They all give their end input ofcourse. But he is the Metal Mozart (his real Nicknames) and composes even the music played by the orchestra. The Nightwish journey is very king but a beautiful inspiring ride. Thanks and greets from Holland❤
Got to say i really enjoy your reactions. And yes, in my humble opinion Nightwish is the best band ever. Virtually all songs are created by Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player. Tuomas IS Nightwish. Floor once said in an interview that it makes no sense to try to write metal songs, because Tuomas is one of the best composers and songwriters on the planet. The guy is a genius, read Lord of the rings at the age of 6 (according to his elementary school teacher), and was a exchange student to the US at 15. You simply can't compete with that.
For Sabaton: The official clip for "Christmas Truce", with Floor singing the long outro. BTW the short pants Floor is wearing in LROTD are based on the famous camouflage trousers Sabaton are performing in (and sometimes her husband Hannes has his drumkit encapsulated by a tank.
Thanks for sharing. If not the best, absolutely among the best, both in studio but especially live with their current female vocalist Floor Jansen. P.S. The song encourages the listener to recognize the beauty in each moment and appreciate the spark that has created life. Despite the struggles and darkness of life, the lyrics remind us to light a candle and celebrate the incredible potential of humanity.
If you want a final boss fight, check out their song "Devil And The Deep Dark Ocean". Believe me, that's the final boss! I enjoyed every single reaction from you guys 🤘
Floor Jansen is still the singer of NW. They just stopped touring a little bit and need time to recover from all the touring. And you talk about Hannes van Dahl, the drummer of Sabaton, a very big power metal band from Sweden. If you want to hear her sing for Sabaton like an angle, watch the epic Sabaton video "Christmas Truce." He is the main character, and she sings very beautifully in the end credits.
Lovely reaction! Yes, Floor (the female singer) collapsed just before she would take a break, as she was pregnant with her second child. Before that, she was very early in diagnosing cancer. Because she was that early, she survived it realy quick. Floor is married to the drummer of Sabaton and in this song, in the end you will hear Floor. ruclips.net/video/HPdHkHslFIU/видео.htmlsi=qXeZu5yDImg8ZB_n
Floor had breast cancer at 2022 and when heavily bregnant she collapsed right after their second last show 2023 (before this still going break) and was rushed to the hospital but was okay. They canceled their last show due to Floor being exhausted.
The keyboardist is the big boss of music, lyrics and band itself. Other members obv have a saying in decisions, but most of it starts with him. He is so creative, he plays in 3 completely different style bands at the same time.
"Dark Chest of Wonders" (opening song from the Wacken concert) is another banger. "Bless the Child" is a bit more mellow, but Floor's voice is out of this world. Then there's "Lanternlight", from their newest album, which is just ... not what you'd expect from a metal band. (Worth knowing in advance: Tuomas wrote it after his father died.) There's no such thing as "just another Nightwish song," which makes it easy to be a fan. Enjoy the ride!
On The Topic of Price, i last saw them 2022 and Ticketprice had been fair imho, i payed around 65 Euros if i remember right for the concert, including taxes and the commute from the outskirt of town to the venue where it took place. Not too bad of an price for 2h concert, i think. EdiT: regarding her health, Floor had cancer which she fought and is called cancer free atm (afaik)
About the lyrics and compositions: Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboardist and composer, write all songs and basically all lyrics. He like to challenge each singer and musician in the band. Floor in this case then try to give the lyrics a great tone and melody to the song.
I’m so jealous of yall, lol. Getting to experience nightwish songs for the first time was some of the best moments of my musical life. So glad to see you all enjoying floor and nightwish.
For a fun one, check out Elan. It always makes me smile. For a tear jerker, check out Lanternlight. It always makes me cry, and is so well written, both lyrics and music. Prepare yourselves for an invasion of the Nightwish Army! 😁
Great to see you back into Nightwish! I've always wondered what the song was about. The music video for it gives an idea, but I think this song could apply to several different situations. Keep the reaction vids coming! 🤘
I hate rap, especially Finnish "party rap". But you, gentlemen, really opened this story quite well (the taxidriver is not so far out when the night is on). Haha, greetings from Finland! ☃️❄️🤘
Tuomas has said this song was inspired by riding a rollercoaster... quote: "I'm a fanatic when it comes to theme parks and roller-coasters. I've been to Disney World eight times now! Hollywood, Universal Studios, all this kinda stuff - it's so, so, so good and you feel like a kid again. Also, it's the perfect metaphor for life."
Y'all were talking about them playing the west coast. I saw them on the east coast in Albany, NY. The first show where Floor was the singer was in Seattle. She was asked to fly to the U.S. to fill in for their previous singer.... mid-tour. This is a good compilation of that time. ruclips.net/video/8k_BRCWs_M4/видео.htmlsi=JrRwxikDOeXOE7Ku. There is another video called "Please Learn the Set List in 48 hours" that covers this time well. ruclips.net/video/8k_BRCWs_M4/видео.htmlsi=oLYJwHXKp3_qRdm7. Floor is definitely a FAST learner! Enjoy the journey!
I saw them during their last tour end of 2022. The ticket price was something like 90 dollars. In 2023 I saw Peter Gabriel, ticket price was 200 dollars. I think both tickets were worth it but clearly we got a much better deal with Nighwish. As a sidenote, both concerts were at the same venue
Hi guys. I really appreciate your reactions to Nightwish, and I like your camaraderie with each other. I'm a new subscriber and I'm looking forward to more of your Nightwish reactions.
Hello from Nightwish Army Sydney Australia. The songs mean whatever you need them to mean at the time, and the meanings may change as you do. But there are literary and science references in some of the songs. Some people will not know when it is about to be their last ride in "the carnival of life".
Festivals in Europe vary from $200 to $450 depending on how many days they last. A normal concert in Sweden for one band with maybe a support band or two, varies between $70 to $130 normally. I saw Nightwish in the summer of 2023 and payed $70 for them to headline and two support bands.
Hi Julius. Nice to see you likes NW. Here a tip for you tomwatch Floor Jansen in her former band Revamp.,That was heavier than NW. React on the song Disdain of Revamp ( Graspop 2010). Floor is so good here. Greetings from the Netherlands
The Last Ride of the Day must be epic, like on a Harley or a horse like Shadowfax from the Lord of the Rings! If you want a song about a cab driver, listen to Taxi by Harry Chapin. Folk song vibe.
I pay for Wacken Festival, (80.000 people, no golden circle) in Germany with round about 200 bands and 4 days and camping for free Euros 333,00. It is nearly the same in $. And my last Nightwish ticket for Hamburg Germany (front row, now Golden Circle) was 77 Euros (same in $). Metal gigs are cheaper than pop gigs, except for Metallica, Iron Maiden or so. But NW was worth it!. Next time try Powerwolf, you will love it too!
Floor placed a hand in some After Forever songs And the songs in Revamp Floors band before Nightwish Floor also wrote the songs in her solo album my Paragon and with Northward But as for Nightwish i have no idea if she ever got involved in writing As Tuomas the keyboard player writes 95% of the songs. Floor got her gallbladder removed yet still performed for Beste Zangers ( Best singers ) also for both pregnancies Floor performed to late pregnancy near labor the last time she collapsed at the end of concert yes it's true and Floor had cancer removed from her breast and still continued to concerts for her fans as Nothing keeps her down. Hannes is her husband his band is Sabaton they have a history channel as they sing about War and all true stories from all sides.
After Corona, Nightwish was on tour for almost three years, Floor had breast cancer in 2022, was pregnant with her second child in 2023 while touring and recorded a new Nightwish and an solo album. That sometimes knocks even our metal Valkyrie out...
Definitely need to check out Ghost love score, The Greatest Show on Earth, The poet and the Pendulum, High Hopes... just listen to the whole discography, they truly are the best ❤
Floor was very pregnant at the end of the tour but still gave everything. She is not human.
15 дней назад+6
Floor was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022 but was operated successfully. Late in 2023 she collapsed on the second to last show on the world tour due to her being pregnant with her second child at the age of 42 and still performing with full force each show. THis happend in the end of June 2023 and her baby was born later in the autumn.
You are not going to believe it, but a ticket just for Nightwish is around 100 usd, of course a festival is more expensive but is around 300usd for two or three days
Nice reaction guys, i think you would really like an ocean of strange islands, unfortunatly no live video yet but the lyric video is top notch. Gr ftom the Netherlands
For example, ticket prices for Wacken Open Air 3 days were 333 euros (approx. 350$). The 85,000 tickets for next year were sold within 8 weeks after the last Open Air
Next: "Greatest Show On Earth" (Tampere 2015 in the open air with live Fireworks as part of the music (!)) or same in Wembley 2015 without fireworks but with Richard Dawkins (The song is named after his book). Both versions +16 minutes!
I’ve been told to hold off on those because of the magnitude and greatness of the songs should I do a few more before then next by vote so far is Romanticide
We have a 2 way tie for next reaction dropping this coming Tuesday comment below if you want
Romanticide
Or
7 days to the wolves
OMG guys the love and in depth info you are all giving is amazing from the bottom of my heart thank you all🎉🎉
BOTH! (I'm greedy) 🤣
At this stage of your Nightwish-journey, I think Romanticide from Wacken 2013 is the most suitable choice.
Both are awesome, but Romanticide first. Thanks for being so enthousiastic guys, I'd love to welcome you to a concert, but you're a bit far from my usual venues ;-)
+1 for 7 Days from the wolves. Epic Windmill battle between Floor and Toumas at the keys.
I concur, 7 Days To The Wolves is one of my top favorites. Although honestly there are no bad Nightwish songs, so my favorite list is quite long.
I Concur !!!!!!!!😊😊
I concur!
I concur ❤
My friend, you would NOT look out of place at a Nightwish concert.
Nightwish crowds are VERY welcoming.
Tuomas (keyboard) writes almost all music and lyrics. They call him Metal Mozart. He's a musical genius.
This is called symphonic metal.
Have Fun :)
The entire 2013 Wacken concert - literally every song is a masterpiece. Also, Greatest Show on Earth, Live at Tampere. Have fun! New sub here!
@@kristinahiatt4660 they are not ready for the Greatest Show on Earth !
I like the version with Richard Dawkins, but I love every version ! :)
now you have to listen to "Song of myself" ...... welcome in from France !

Welcome to the Floorgasm guys. Love your chat!!!!
Couldn't agree more!
@julius_appollo 👍
If you want a final boss fight, check out their song "Devil And The Deep Dark Ocean". Believe me, that's the final boss!
I enjoyed every single reaction from you guys 🤘
Nothing is better than Nightwish waking up rappers to the greatness of rock. 🤘😁
New sub from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Thanks so much 😊
Floor Jansen is still the singer of NW.

(Worth knowing in advance: Tuomas wrote it after his father died.)
There's no such thing as "just another Nightwish song," which makes it easy to be a fan. Enjoy the ride!
I concur
On The Topic of Price, i last saw them 2022 and Ticketprice had been fair imho, i payed around 65 Euros if i remember right for the concert, including taxes and the commute from the outskirt of town to the venue where it took place. Not too bad of an price for 2h concert, i think. EdiT: regarding her health, Floor had cancer which she fought and is called cancer free atm (afaik)
The Metal Mozart on keys writes and composes almost all the sings... 95%. Tuomas Holopainen, modern day genius.
headswing = windmill (cuz she's Dutch 😉)
❤❤❤ best band
Great to see you back into Nightwish! I've always wondered what the song was about. The music video for it gives an idea, but I think this song could apply to several different situations. Keep the reaction vids coming! 🤘
Definitely will
I hate rap, especially Finnish "party rap". But you, gentlemen, really opened this story quite well (the taxidriver is not so far out when the night is on). Haha, greetings from Finland! ☃️❄️🤘
check out the song "Romanticide". more awesomeness and singing from Marko ( the bassplayer)...
This song is in 1st place for my next review on Tuesday
Great reactions guys, new subscriber here 😊 Keep going with Nightwish I can quarantee you won't be dissappointed. Greetings from Finland!
Thanks for the sub!
She was 8 months pregnant and collapsed. Sabaton uses her lovely voice.
Subbed guys
Thanks so much
I saw them during their last tour end of 2022. The ticket price was something like 90 dollars. In 2023 I saw Peter Gabriel, ticket price was 200 dollars. I think both tickets were worth it but clearly we got a much better deal with Nighwish. As a sidenote, both concerts were at the same venue
Floor's husband is the drummer in Sabaton - "Christmas Truce" is a great one to start with: ruclips.net/video/HPdHkHslFIU/видео.html
Hi guys. I really appreciate your reactions to Nightwish, and I like your camaraderie with each other. I'm a new subscriber and I'm looking forward to more of your Nightwish reactions.
Welcome to the nightwish Army!!!
Hello from Nightwish Army Sydney Australia. The songs mean whatever you need them to mean at the time, and the meanings may change as you do. But there are literary and science references in some of the songs.
Some people will not know when it is about to be their last ride in "the carnival of life".
Nightwish army is coming... 🤘❤❤❤
Revamp was Floor's anger management class band. Disdain is a bit different Floor 😅
I’ll definitely check it out
The Last Ride of the Day must be epic, like on a Harley or a horse like Shadowfax from the Lord of the Rings! If you want a song about a cab driver, listen to Taxi by Harry Chapin. Folk song vibe.
NIGHTWISH - Devil & The Deep Dark Ocean - Live In Buenos Aires. Look
Try „Everdream“ same concert Wacken 2013…. after that „Dead Boys Poem“ From Buenos Aires….
After Corona, Nightwish was on tour for almost three years, Floor had breast cancer in 2022, was pregnant with her second child in 2023 while touring and recorded a new Nightwish and an solo album. That sometimes knocks even our metal Valkyrie out...
little fun fact. floor did her very first concert in the usa with nightwish.
Cool reaction.
Boss fight? Final Fantasy? Here is Floor singing a song from the Final Fantasy Chronicles: ruclips.net/video/oVdi1We_7fs/видео.html
Definitely need to check out Ghost love score, The Greatest Show on Earth, The poet and the Pendulum, High Hopes... just listen to the whole discography, they truly are the best ❤
We did that on deryks page streetchamps go check it out
Where are the English subtitles????? ..you know many fans of Nightwish are WORLDWIDE ❤❤❤❤❤
We will have them from now on
Compouser, lyricist and arranger Maestro Tuomas Holopainen metal Mozart
btw speaking about collab, indeed check out Sabaton. Do the Christmas Truce first, you might hear someone you know. Then do Bismarck.
A great song and the lyric`s are words to live by. Live in the moment and remember ``It`s hard to deny a candle, easy to curse the darkest day``
Floor was very pregnant at the end of the tour but still gave everything. She is not human.
There are rumors Floor still holding the mic when arriving in the Vaasa hospital.....
You are not going to believe it, but a ticket just for Nightwish is around 100 usd, of course a festival is more expensive but is around 300usd for two or three days
That’s a great price
Good one.
Thanks!
Look on Gabriel's list for "7 Days to the Wolves" - another high energy song that's more intense than this one.
If you want to see a piece of art, check greatest show on aerth live from Tampere
Well done boys! Here is is new sub. For you too. Greets from Finland. Take care.
Thanks and welcome
another fun and cheerful reaction! you guys rule! I wish, you wish, they wish, we all wish for more nightwish!
Sub for more I will try to do atleast 1 nightwish reaction a week
@@julius_appollo already did
@@luismariomesmo thanks so much I truly appreciate it !!!
@@julius_appollo You really do you homework man👌
Apart from that: very pleasant channel!
