Great video. It’s so hard to race and film at the same time! well done. Always good to know more about those things. We’ve been eating only tailwind for our 101 gone nuts race and it was everything we needed. :)
Strictly post-race, and now not as acceptable as it once was, but a bacon and egg bap with a mug of tea. Whether you are first or last, or just on a training run, you simply cannot beat it. Excellent video.
@@wildgingerruns It was flippin' brilliant... I'm now sitting at my desk [supposed to be getting 2,500 words done!] but I'm looking at running videos and at my route map of the Glen Coe Skyline race...
sausage rolls and cheese and onion rolls work great for me great on longer runs/rides, I only use sweet food when doing less than 3 hours of exercise, great video
This might have been the best race video I have ever seen. You are really entertaining to follow. And that race course is crazy. Do you ever run here in the US??
One of my favourite videos from Wild Ginger. Watched it several times. Really helped me with choosing what to take and what to avoid. This is my template 😄🏃🏻♂️
Oh I so enjoyed this. Love reading and listening to things about endurance running. Farthest I ever managed was 14 on the flat. The climbing bits scared me to watch 😱. Are all ultras so erm ‘mountain goat 🐐 like’ ? You are such a sweetheart x
Great video again. Another race to add to my bucket list though! I’m getting a bit more adventurous with my fuelling now. I used to stick to SiS gels and bars (not the caffeine ones, nasty). Also, looking out for ideas on how to transport hot espresso on a long run, let me know if you see anything. :D
I am running my 50km races just on a gel every 10km and an energy (Lara)bar at about 25km and not taking anything except water/electrolytes at the checkpoints. Even when I finish I am not entirely convinced of what to eat. I will try a few training runs and try some of the items mentioned. See what works for me. Interesting. Although recently I went through apple orchards on a long run and the apples really tasted amazing and boosted my morale.
Great content! The Guy at 3:38 is not total right. You can utilize about 90g Carbs per hour. That requires the right ratio between malto and fructose. Really enjoy your other videos too!

Great video, the run looks awesome... may I ask what camera set up you used, looking to get one to track my journey to my first 50km
