Haha, it's not always easy! When I'm just fishing and not worried about you guys seeing the screen, I actually don't put as much of an emphasis on keeping the bait on the screen. I generally know where my bait is, so I can spend my mental on presenting the lure better, and also looking for other fish in the area while I'm working the bait.
Great idea for the real fishing format uncut. Smart this is how it should be filmed. It’s about time and not surprising it Nick Lindner this concept of format subscription long time ago the fisherman loves to say the best fisherman in the world. keep those lines tight boys and girls
Hey Nick, a cool video idea would be a breakdown of how you have your settings on the livescope for the people who aren’t very tech savvy. Love your videos!
Hey Nick I really like the raw videos. One question I have is that I notice you are usually fishing into the wind toward the structure. I thought you would prefer throwing to structure with the wind blowing into it not away from the structure ? I know this would make using FFS mounted on the trolling motor a little more difficult. Curious on your thoughts.
Same, Nick. That’s why I do it that was on ice. Unfortunately, I think it would be way too difficult on the boat like this. I would need someone to help read questions and whatnot. Also the cell service would be so variable as I move around the lake.
I'm running the LVS34. My gain is usually around 70 give-or-take. But gain is also the setting I change the most. Different lakes, different conditions, different depths require gain tweaking, but it never gets more that 15 or so notches away from 70.
@NickLindner is there a video with your settings. I can't reproduce the clarity and ability to tell crappies from walleye until they're about 40 from the boat
I just bought a 400$ garmin. The salesman was kinda like well you can either get a nice traditional sonar or spend like double that and get some side imaging where you can actually see the fish. I spend all day staring at my phone. I dont really wanna spend my fishing days staring at a screen.
Man, I struggled up there a few days ago. Bite could be better now 🤷♂️ The best I found was packs of walleyes on the weed lines. Didn't get many to bite though.
Old Fish Speak... a Couple: 2 to 5 fish. a dozen:10 to 15 fish I believe the larger descrempency per larger amounts of fish, mite have been do to larger amounts of beer consumption Per every "couple of Fish"😑
I dont think they need to reset limits just because of live scope thid fishing just to catch and release probably kills more fish then live scope because if you used it to just catch your 6 fish limit then stop you kill 6 fish you catch an releast all day caught 25 30 fish half die after you releast them which is fair to say that what needs to stop never in world history do you see or hear poeple going fishing for fun catch and releast poeple fish for food poeple hunted for food not for cheap thrill if your not going to eat it font kill it inless thst something is going to hurt someone
In a perfect world, fishing videos would ALWAYS have zero edits and added effects and music. Just an opinion of an older guy. Sick to death of virtually every fishing channel on youtube, trying to be just as obnoxious as fishing shows on TV. That's why I started watching RUclips instead of TV years back. But now everyone is trying to copy all thw bullshit over-produced crap that they were trained to do by garbage tv shows. It's sad af
I wondered what the heck was up with all the woof and dog comments. Lol 🦮. Do you have problems with thermocline on the screen? We have 15’ thermocline now. If you dial back to clear screen you lose jig tracking. Surface temp is 82.
That can be tricky. You just need to play with it and figure out what's important to you as you adjust your settings. That might be jig tracking, it might be clearness on the screen. Don't be afraid to have a screen that isn't "clean" all the time. It all just depends where you're fishing and what you're looking for.
I love this format because you get all the thought process not bits and peices like edited content.
Thanks Jason. There’s definitely some value to the no edit format.

Ice will be here before we know it! And I’ll be excited when it’s here
You caught some nice Walleyes 🐟🎣🐟🎣
Thanks Doug!
Another great video. Very informative. Zelda is adorable!!! 🐕 Do you ever catch Perch mixed in with those walleyes? Do you ever go fishing for Perch?
On a lot of the local lakes I fish, I'm mostly getting accidental bluegill, not as much perch. But some lakes, you'll get perch.

What is ideal depths for walleye heading to lake Champlain this weekend need some quick tips keep these awesome tips and tricks coming
I haven't targeted walleyes on Champlain, so I can't say for sure how they setup this time of year.
nice video Nick , keep them coming! What would do without live scope? Try one with out live scope. Thanks
Thanks for watching David. I’d fish similar areas, but fancast instead, also utilize side image more.

I like going against the wind because it makes boat control way way easier
Would love to see a live stream doing this so we can ask questions as you go

I love the passive aggressive commentary on the idiot boaters and jet skis. 😂
I just can’t help myself lol
On the 1/8 oz smeltinator what siz hook do you prefer? I see there are options for hook size on the northland websitt
For a jig & crawler setup, I like either the 1/0 or the 2/0 hook
Could you do a video on your updated livescope settings

What 16v battery are you using for your livescope?
It's actually a 48AH 14.8V. Just runs at a higher voltage for whatever reason
@NickLindner Awesome! Thank you. Love the videos, keep up the great work!
Have you already explained why you do these videos mid-day and how time of day is affecting fish response or location?
I haven’t. I do them mid-day because that’s basically my time availability. Generally lower-light periods are gonna be better
Feel more like I’m fishing with you ❤
Right on! That’s kind of what I’m going for here
