"God's gift of salvation ... is available to everyone" Um, why would Spurgeon lie to people like that? He was a Calvinist. He did NOT believe Salvation was available to everyone. He believed that Christ died ONLY for the elect, and the elect are a people chosen before time began, and that everyone else had absolutely ZERO chance of salvation.
www.spurgeongems.org/sermon/chs207.pdf Calvinists generally affirm both human responsibility (thus, all are responsible to receive salvation) as well as God's sovereign election (only those whom God elects actually receive salvation). It's pretty harsh to call Spurgeon a liar for affirming both, as he does in the sermon linked above. But it is admittedly difficult to affirm both to the satisfaction of our intellect.
@@stephenwright4973 Calvinists use the same words but a different dictionary. Their idea of "responsibility" has nothing to do with ability to respond. They mean culpability. On Calvinism, God holds man culpable for their sins even though they are unilaterally determined to sin and can do nothing else other than what God decreed before time began. Furthermore, this has nothing to do with my objection! Whatsoever! It's a completely separate issue that you've brought up as a red herring. On Calvinism, salvation is not available to everyone. Period. This is not up for debate, not even remotely. If you believe salvation is available to all, you are not a Calvinist.
Jeremiah 18:1-10 . God is the potter of our lives and determines our calling. We cannot limit God by focusing on who has the right to do which kind of work in ministry.
Good question but no. Women preaching has to do with authority. Women are not to have authority over men in the church. But they can do literally anything else.

Audio too low.
Would having a woman narrate a sermon be considered the same as a woman preaching?

Really, that's the most ridiculous comment I've ever read...do you praise God that He never made you a woman also..
