Eric Burns coz they had the same hair colour lol! And maybe Deb was Lucas's real mother coz of their hair colour. They were swapped at birth by Dan coz he wanted Karen's (the love of his life) baby but stayed with Deb for her parents' money.
@@jamesjay1979 deb wasn’t the best due to her alcohol and drug problems but when she was sober she did her best to be a good mom to him. But Karen was better to him than both of them ever were, and she and Nathan actually also even looked like mother and son in this video too.
@@allie7574 I always thought that with the hair/eye/skin tones of the actors portraying Dan, Deb, and Karen, that James Lafferty (Nathan) looked like he could be Dan & Karen's son and Chad Michael Murray (Lucas) looked like he could be Dan & Deb's son, so I always wondered why they cast they characters the way they did. Then I read an article that the producers actually wanted Chad to be Nathan, but Chad had a family situation similar to Lucas (absent parent), so he was adamant about playing Lucas. Apparently James also wanted to play Lucas, but since Chad had already talked to the producers before then, James played Nathan instead.

It never mattered if they weren’t here kids, she was mother or a second mother to all those kids. She loved them all and keith was a father figure to all the kids and loved all the kids.

I swear Karen is one of the best tv moms ever she was literally a mom to all of them. And Nathan’s one of the best tv husbands and dads for that matter lol.

I just realized something. Chad was supposed to play Nathan, right? Barbara Alyn Woods was chosen for Nathan's mother. Makes sense. Chad and Barbara are both blond. Chad chose to play Lucas but then James came along and got the role of Nathan. Karen (Moira Kelly) ends up playing Lucas's mum even though she's a brunette. I think they should have switched it around. Barbara should have played Karen and Moira should have played Deb. Reason 1. Lucas is blond while both Karen and Dan have black hair...yeah i know that these things happen but still it would have been more interesting and originally i think that because the role was made for Chad Barbara was chosen to play his mother. If they wanted to make the show a bit more dramatic i would have made Lucas look more like Dan (had James play Lucas) while Nathan more like his mother (had Chad play Lucas but have Barbara play Karen).
