- In this episode of TINY TIPS WITH TIFF, I show you How To Feed A Preemie Baby In The NICU. Feeding a baby in the NICU is different just because some of their lungs are not fully developed and so they just need to learn how to breathe first! So I thought I would share with you some of my techniques for how to feed a preemie, late preterm and newborn baby.

I was feeding my premie today in the nicu and the color change happened and I was so shattered I can’t believe it happened. I felt I let him down so much. Thank you for these tips we’re trying again tomorrow
I tried your method of slow flow nipple with baby’s head tilted while feeding him and it works and im so so thankful to you for this video 💕💕

Thankyou. This video is useful. I have a preemie born at 34 weeks plus. Now he is 38 weeks but is struggling with bottle feeding. With my own breast milk, he is much much better coordinated.

I love your videos! I feed all babies side lying lol the parents are always confused but once I explain it they end up loving feeding their babies this way too 😄
Brandie Hunter side lying is definitely an underrated position that not a lot of parents know about! But it is such a great technique 😊
im a peds nurse and started at a new job where the peds can float to niccu. im soooo nervous about it. but this is absolutely soooo sooo helpful.
Could you pretty please do a video explaining how to mix formula or if you guys do have to mix formula especially 27cal, I just oriented there, i’m floating as a L&D nurse and that’s one thing that intimidates me, also thanks so much for all ur videos they rlly help!!

Thank you so much for your tips, I kept wondering what was I doing wrong? And after seeing the video I applied it to my patient at the next feeding and bam! Successful feeding. Thank you very much for sharing and most importantly demonstrating your knowledge for those of us who learn better by seeing. ☺️

@@TiffanyRNnicunursetiff Thanks! It's my dream placement! Looking forward to more of your content 🥰🥰
Hi. My son is 35 weeks and getting better at bottle feeding, but the nurses here keep feeding him face up at an angle, almost sitting up. I tried to explain the sideways position, but they just shrugged it off and said face up is the right method. Not sure what to do.
I was just watching Colleen Ballinger’s video and she is struggling with breastfeeding and having neck and upper back pain. Do you have suggestions for breastfeeding moms to position for feedings that will help prevent neck and back pain in a mom of twin preemies?
Very helpful...
Glad it was helpful 🤗
I’m using my dog as a baby. You have a new subscriber
stan BOSS 😂 purrrfect patient lol
hii where did you get the practice baby?
Is spill up normal while burping with preemies, it’s something new I have noticed with my son since I did the hospital stay for his graduation and now at home at his first day
Shouldn’t nicu babies be burped after the tube feeding also?
Yea you can or you can also just vent them through the tube
