I grew up in a very english Indian suburb speaking afrikaans since both my coloured and Indian grandparents spoke afrikaans. I was often bullied for speaking the wrong English with an accent. I learned to play the guitar even had a pair of red veld skoene, over sized pants and parting my hair down the middle 😂😂😂 which didn't help with the bullying. Now the next part I'm not sure if it's true, but it's what mum told me My mum worked at the Capital towers hotel in Pietermaritzburg and you were performing there. She managed to get me an autographed picture. It read "To Virgil I say yes yes yes" It was my most treasured possession, but sadly I lost it when we moved house. Though I always suspected she might have forged it just to make me happy. Anyway just wanted to say thanks for the memories😊 @DavidKramerSA
