You should totally paint your bottom trim half colors. Like the blue half be the blue and the red half be the red
The white trim and doors help tie in the white strip you have in the center.

Swisstrax is actually the best for garage floors.. All the dirt goes underneath and your garage will always look clean. Just take it off every year and clean it or if you spill oil or coolant, just pop up a few of the tiles to clean and it's good as new again right away. Def going to get some for my new house soon

Also don't block your water heater off that's gonna be a huge pain when you need to service it
This is pretty awesome. I grew up around the same general area you live and have your shop in so I usually recognize the landscapes of your videos. I now live north of there not far from RG and actually used to work for a company that picked up/dropped off pallets at that same warehouse. Small world
That looks sick. My bedroom also has a black ceiling and grey walls. I went with red trim but, the white or black would look clean. That floor takes it to another level.

Wow Dan, I just loved hearing about you experience with edging. I know it can be a daunting thing, feeling like you might just go over at any second. But the end result is so worth it.
for ceilings you need a super thick spongey roller it makes the job 10x easier, buying good quality paint also helps a lot
i painted my bedroom 3 years ago black roof with white splashes and gray walls, it really does just look good and so does the garage

Keep the white baseboard and trim. It needs the contrast. Also do you foresee spill cleanup and dropping things being an issue with the floor?

its REALLY easy and even quicker to use a putty shovel to paint stuff like that, just put the shovel were you dont want the paint and just walk along with the pensel in one hand and the sovel in the other

That looks nice honestly when my neighbors had an epoxy garage when it first was a big thing when I was in middle school I didn’t like it even when I was young I’m like that’s going be slippery and such and when I get my own garage this what I’m doing it looks nice and easy

Floor looks awesome. It being off-center from the doors is killing my OCD. I guess you could’ve trimmed some of each side and got it a little bit closer but I completely understand more work.

Black trim for sure! Our main bathroom we painted the ceiling black with gray walls and painted the trim and door black. Looks awesome

How I get a thick good first coat is I load up the roller as much as possible and only do a two to four foot square.

FYI when painting, always do the cutting in first, [EDGING LOL] then paint the ceiling and walls. way easier in the long run of things. sorry i paint for a living, had to comment that.

I'd leave the base boards white, maybe repaint them a more vibrant white, because with the new LED lights they'll really pop.
you should paint the baseboards and trim a pop color like blue, green or pink. but, like NEON.

so, if you spill/drip fluids like oil or trans fluids that don't dry, it just stays under there unless you take apart the floor to clean it?
How easy is it to just remove a tile in the middle of the floor to clean. Seems like it would be a real pita to try to keep clean. And there's no way you could do this anywhere near any sources of dirt. I have a big paved driveway and my garage stills gets absolutely full of dirt and leaves that blow in. I have to sweep it constantly. This flooring just seems like it would add so much more work. And like others have said, can it actually hold up to jackstands? Wonder if the edges ever get worn down and end up sharp. I feel like we're going to get another "I regret doing this" videos in a year

i feel like i can ask you honestly cause i have been on the fence of fum. does it actually help and i mean in making me hold off on going outside to smoke or stopping the car on a road trip. i got a younger kid and wife who doesn't smoke and feel horrible making them wait around for me to smoke at stops and was hoping this would be the fix, but ya know people who smoke normally aren't made of money so it has been a funny game of putting it off
