He doesn't give answers. He left you with curiosity of knowing. He don't try to make you believe anything he only gives methods with which you can know.
I honestly like that. Try to get someone to seek the answer without outside influence. To seek the truth for themselves. I try to do this with people I talk to, but I think I may influence them a bit too much lol.

unless you experiences it yourself whatever you believe is useless.. blind faith... seek it yourself and find it out yourself.

Buddhism is not the religion which talks about god
In Buddhism people believe, "it doesn't matter if there is any god or not, be a better person not because someone is judging you but because it is motive of human birth"
Buddhism doesn't discuss about god, it's okay if there is god and if there is no god still it's ok
Buddhism is branch of sanatana Dharma which follows the philosophy of "gyana yoga"

This reminds me of a quote that someone said to me, "It is better to believe than not believe, because if God does exist, then you will be forever punished in hell." Well the quote isn't exactly like that but close enough. That quote made me think that is the wrong reason to believe in God, because the reason to believe is, "Just In Case." Believe if you truly believe not because "Just In Case."

Buddha means ‘ enlightened one ‘ . It isn’t a name.
Believing or not believing in God is not important, How you live is important.
There are 3 answers to the question - "Does God Exists?". Yes or No or I don't know. The guys who answer Yes or No will always fight each other while the one whose answer is I don't know (doesn't spend his time fighting) spends his time seeking the truth of life.
Answer is "Go find yourself... "... That's what he means when he distinguishes between Believers and Seekers... Any answer from Budha turned another person from a seeker to a believer either way to the idea of either god exists or not... That person still does not know, and Sadguru refuses to do that... He wants you to stay a seeker and you will find your answer...
It cannot be said if there is a god or not because that aspect is completely non physical. If we try to put it in our words, it also becomes physical. Because physicality is the base of logic. That is why he is not answering the question.
He is saying that believing and not believing are the same thing. It is just a believe, not close to reality anyway. So he didn't answer the question.
When you have the longing to knowing, then the seeking to know will arise within you. That is when you will find out whether god exists or not. It is always better to be a seeker rather than a believer because believers will know everything so no point talking to them, but seekers want answers to their questions. So their lies the possibility as Sadhguru said at the end of the video.
Gautqm Siddhartha who became Buddha was first a hindu, after meditation for years he started discovering many things in life and answers to many questions, then he started teaching, his followers grew time by time, and created a different branch of religion in Bharat culture.
It's about seeking truth for yourself. In the battlefield of Kurukshetra, Lord Krishna reveals the Gita to Arjuna. But at the end , he says that it's your "choice" of what you want to do.
God/no god...It's your personal seeking.

He indirectly answered the question with "we simply don't know God exists but we believe whatever we want" hence that buddha story he narrated.
GOD exists but it is different than you have been told since a child.

Don't try to understand sadhguru in western perspective or template then you will get confused. .

if he does not believe in GOD he would not be a Hindu, he is hindu means he believe in gods.
What Sadhguru is trying to say I think is, whether there is God or not... it is you who should be finding your own answers as he mentioned seeking or the longing to know, rather than just listen to what the preachers or the elders are trying to corrupt your mind. Honestly I have never seen a profession that pays you so well by just reading one religious book and byhearting it... is there?
If he proves there us god you have doubt. If he proves no god then you will have again doubt about god. And the present world is still searching this answer.
All he wants to say is that You have to seek whether there is God or No God 🙏

Life is not about conclusions. Belief concludes your longing to know . And the possibility to seek and explore will not be born within you.
Thus truth becomes unattainable and suffering starts within .
Existence is GOD. As bubbles rise in the ocean and the bubble is full of water, nothing but water. Similarly, every form arises in God (consciousness).. exist in God and dissolve in God. God is consciousness-existence-infinite. Without existence, nothing can exist. Existence is conscious not a mute entity and it is infinite... think Guys.

In sanathana dharma .. The word GOD does not define perfectly ... Generally GOD is a super being who is out somewhere .... But here in sanathana dharma GOS is everything and we are a part of it ,... More like bits of the same energy ..... No one can define what GOD actually is perfectly ...so sadguru when these questions are asked he gives the ways or clues for every individual to seek the truth in their own way.

And today I learned something. lol I honestly did not know that until this video. I googled Sadhguru meaning and it came back with Satguru, meaning True Guru. What does Sadhguru mean?

My answer is usually, "As far as I know, there is no prof that God exist. So there is no God." Plus the God that some religion believe are so overwhelmingly powerful, Omnipotent AND Omniscient. It is to hard to believe in that kind of power. But I agree with him, I guess I should just say I don't know. It is much simpler. lol

Dear Bryan,If you are at all interested in knowing the Truth aka in the "spirituality" then the first thing to be is sincere and honest enough to admit to yourself that you DONT KNOW anything.Then only even a possibility of knowing arises.
If you watch and analyse your own videos,you will see how many times "I think" and "I believe" is being uttered by you.But the moment you realise that you don't truly know anything, these terms slowly disappears from your vocabulary or atleast that's what happened with me 🙂🙏🏻
Btw,Sadhguru gives a very clear answer here but can be perceived only if we evolve to the right intellectual maturity.It took me years of watching his videos and going through his Innner Engineering program but now the answers are more clear for me.
More evolved beings than me will get there faster 🙂

Well I cannot sincerely and honestly say that I don't know anything because to me, that would mean that I have learned nothing throughout my life and I know I have and I would deeply feel that I am lying to myself, but I can say without any doubt that "I know somethings, but I don't know everything."
I say "I Think" and "I Believe" is because I am not 100%, without a doubt sure what I am saying is absolutely true. Even if I was given enough time to think about it, I think I would still say "I Think" because Knowing something and Being Certain are two different things. You can know something and not be certain about it and you can be certain you know somethings.
Some people understand it faster and other slower, but the most important thing is to understand it and if you understand it, you are doing a lot better than a lot of other people out there, including me lol! I'm "playing catch-up".

@@nexvid Dear ,your reply made me realise something 🙂 I was wrong in saying you "should admit" you "Don't know " but rather, as you go along, there will come a point when you will "realize" you "don't know" and that's when you get intiated to the path of seeking the truth aka " spirituality" .For me this happened during the initiation day of the Inner Engineering program I attended in person.
To have an idea of the type of experiences ppl had during IE, check out Vaishakh Sabu Interview series on ppl who had undergone IE.
Also check out Sri M videos.He is another enlightened being 🙏🏻
@@nexvid You have a sharp mind sir. Its not that we know nothing. We know things about the world around us, more so than any other creature that has existed on this planet. Our understanding has come past primitive survival and we long to see the inner workings of this beautiful universe. You must be aware that we live long enough to build a sense of knowing of the world around us, we build our own understanding of it.
If we are too immersed in this "world of understanding" that we have created we will become blind to the things that sits outside of the way we see this world. This mindset in a way restricts us towards the path that what we will see tomorrow can only be a repetition of what has happened yesterday. We know for a fact that, thats not the kind of the universe we live in.
Especially when it comes to the exploration of the self, the understanding of our world and our perspective of the outside world tends to limit our ability to explore there. So it is absolutely important to keep a completely plain book of a mind while exploring our inner nature. When you do that you will see how many ways exist to see the same world, you will see the world from different perspectives, be a completely new person every day of your life. Its a wonderful journey which every human being shouldn't miss.
The idea of god is that it is for the person to experience and know for himself and not just go on believing what you do not know
What's not straightforward .. the answer is 'WE DON'T KNOW A DAMN THING' .. so both believer & non believers are lying to themselves and others.
He wants to make a point that you don’t believe ANYTHING that is not there in your experience. If he says god or no god, it doesn’t lead you anywhere. You’re still believing. You Don’t KNOW yet.
He clearly said they both (Ram guy & Charvaka) don't know for sure if God exists. One believed God exists and another believed God doesn't exist that's why Sadhguru said, they are on the same boat. Believer.
He is just saying.
Do not believe in anything...but just be sincere enough to accept that WE DO NOT KNOW.
Because the moment we realise that " I DO NOT KNOW " . You would naturally start seeking.
Now if the seeking has arrived within... , by following any path provided by Buddha, or Sadhguru, or countless number of enlightened beeings, you can get to the KNOWING.
But the pre-requisite to following any path/process of either Buddha or Sadhguru , .....you must realise that I DO NOT KNOW.
It was not that Buddha was not the believer of God, ...he was just not a believer (of god or of no god).
Gautama Siddhartha was the given name of Buddha, who was born into a royal kingdom. From prince how he became the enlightened Buddha, have a read it's very interesting. Buddha achieved enlightenment and taught some principles to attain a higher level of consciousness. He is worshipped as God because I think people just needed to focus their energy somewhere, on someone so there are no other distractions. Just my thoughts.

It is because I am lazy. lol! It is to hard to act, pretend, lie. Much much easier to just be me. I don't have to remember what my lies are, how to act, or who I am pretending to be. So much easier just to be me.

Sadhguru is all about seeking yourself. Don't believe in what somebody say that's why he don't answer this question directly. What he is trying to say is don't believe anything, look for answers.
Ask any Christians, and they say Christ is God. Belief. You may believe in anything and shut the world out. But if you think you do not know and want to know, then there is a possibility open up and your seeking helps you know, the possibility of knowing the truth, knowing Christ. Otherwise you are happy believing whatever someone has set for you as the boundary, and your enquiry is shutdown, you only know the religion but not Christ, and the Father.
Please don't get confused, it's reality not what you want to believe, ie the 'answer'.
What is the big difference in knowing that just find it yourself if you want ?

What sadhguru trying to say is that if there is God then, when God will come then we will find out, if not then we will never and if there is no God, even believers will continue to believe and non believers to non believe. The facts is we don't know the truth and we are in the same boat

Sadhguru itself is a title given to him.
Other is not non-believer, other is also believer, believer of no god. So both are of belief category not seeking category. He tries to get you out of belief and start seeking.
So will you ever get out of the "seeking"? The "Seeking" ends in the "Belief" of "God" or "No God", right? Are you suppose to stay "Seeking" or will the "Seeking" end at some point?

@@nexvid Seeking is killed when there is belief. Only when belief ends, seeking starts. You don't have to seek, seeking is natural for human being. Seeking doesn't mean it is knowledge or information and you read and it is over, that is belief. As you see more Sadhguru videos you will get idea of what he means by seeking.

Believe in what ever you want means in spiritual context....Be Honest with yourself and ...be a seeker...don't be dumb...Explore is what as true believer needs to do and understand our role in this nature's mysterious plan....Live it full...Live it large..Live it for welfare of maximum of souls one can touch in positive way...Our true origins are beyond animal instincts....and that is what a enlightened man is all about.... That is what makes us Human...
Sadhguru speaks in a sort of way that assumes you are at a certain degree of intelligence to get it so he doesn't spoon-feed the answer. Rather he allows you that space to think and figure it out a little bit.
For this particular talk however, to me his message is as clear as daylight that beliefs don't change what is ultimately true therefore he is putting a higher value on seeking what is true rather than believing hand-me-down beliefs or even your own limited perspective.
Therefore, it's not his business to claim God is true or not true. Just believing would result to a frozen intelligence. He is is simply encouraging people to find out for themselves.

Don't be too serious and expect absolute answers from Sadhguru he is making you curious and seek within yourself because his teachings is all about don't believe anything until it's in your experience...
What he is trying to say is.. Belief as such doesn't gets you far.. Here... God/ Reality/ Consciousness/ enlightenment/ true nature of the Srlelf.. is to be understand vide enquiry and a path of meditation..

Speaking and understanding are two completely different things in language. Get an Indian, Australian, British, American, Canadian, and South African person in a room and even though they speak English, they won't completely understand each other. Even in American itself, get a southern, Easterner, Westerner, and a Midwesterner and they won't completely understand each other. You can even go as far as States in American, Jersey, Louisianian, Californian, and a Texan and they won't completely understand each other.
