What strikes me most is the humility of this man . A truly enlightened master who speaks of the most profound and esoteric things with a very simple and childlike innocence. He seems to be trying his best , with utmost sincerity, to make us understand that Truth which is not perhaps possible to be ever expressed in words!

I have been driving around the dirt roads of Vermont listening to Swami Sarvapriyananda talks for seven years. I'm appreciating Sri M's explanations of many things that I have not heard Swami discuss around the tactical, technical, and day-to-day aspects of spiritual practice. Swami is more about how it is, and Sri M is more about how you do it. I'm oversimplifying of course, but that's what I'm getting/needing. Between finding Sri M and reading Muktananda's book about his enlightenment last month, my practice and understanding is evolving. I wish my guru would jump out of the bushes and say hello, I'm ready!

Beautifully explained, I think I had discovered the ajna chakra some years ago....without looking for it or knowing about it. I would do some meditation on my own while focusing on the breath and I would find my eyes and attention going automatically there and then upwards and I wouldn't understand why.....so that was the reason.... thankyou 🙏. I asked people around me but no-one seemed to know why.

Jesus told a parable about a shepherd who had 100 sheep. He left 99 of them and searched for one. In some translations (Thomas) it says that that one he sought is the greatest of them all. This is how Jesus taught about withdrawing from the lesser nadis to find the great sushumna nadi. Similarly, Jesus gave other yogic teachings using coded parables to hide his teachings from those who do not have "ears to hear." This is how the deep yogic teachings of Jesus survived 2000 years of censorship and alteration by Bible scribes.

    ----------------------------------------
Allow not prejudiceto cloud your judgement
    Strive steadfastand renounce stubborn ways
    Search within and discover others
(For a man who ignores enters his grave )
Let every man be free, unaided on his merit
Let us not frustrate a creative mind and spirit
Let the cream rise up to earn the world of honor
( To them we owe our life and also our service )
Abolish that which bears a semblenceof privilege
It is cowardly unmanly and an act of sacrilege .

For me, the physical hatha component should be an integral component of sadhana. Others are welcome to agree or disagree. But my question to knowledgeable Sadhaks here, is are there lineages and living Gurus who teach a form of kundalini/Kriya yoga that includes a serious Hatha component, and not just paying lip service?
Again, I’m not judging those paths who don’t include Hatha as an integral component of daily practice.
I’m simply looking for leads on lineages and living Teachers who do seriously include it.
Perhaps what I’m describing is closer to the Nath lineages for example?
But surely there must be some Kriya Yoga Gurus who come from a more Hatha-oriented path, and who themselves practice it daily along with the other components (mantra, pranayama, sitting meditation, etc)
Perhaps it is a Tamil Siddha lineage, or perhaps it is a Kriya lineage, or a Siddha/Mahayoga lineage.
Any relevant information would be appreciated.

I practiced Kriya Yoga for years and experienced several Kundalini awakenings, but they were not enjoyable. The energy overwhelmed me and burned me out. I sensed something was unstable within me, as I couldn't contain the energy properly-it was "leaking" and causing more harm than good. Eventually, I discovered Isha Hatha Yoga through Sadhguru, who confirmed that practicing powerful kriyas without first stabilizing the body can lead to serious problems. If you're curious, you should check him out.
I don’t want to engage in debates about who's right or wrong; I follow both Sri M and Sadhguru, and this was the path that led to my burnout. I also occasionally drink alcohol and eat meat, which I believe contributed to my Kundalini issues. At the time, I wasn't physically fit, yet I was doing 2-3 hours of Kriya pranayama daily-far too much for someone in my condition, especially without the guidance of a live guru.
So yes, I strongly recommend implementing Hatha Yoga in your sadhana as fast as you can.

Really, Jannet, how does one decide? (Me too, so many choices.) Sri M has said we have to find our own path? as I recall. Maybe the Vedas talk about free will or choice somewhere.
Little Bear, I'm guessing, is referring to sublimating, not igniting which sounds like a sink or swim risk.
Sublimate anything and everything... My opinion is that it's all the same, from a certain point of view; maybe ignorance speaking.

Or maybe "should I" is the question, because as I understand Sri M comments, as I now recall, most people should not.
