Hey, @cjfromyoutube6280! Knee braces can provide support and stability to your injured knee, which might help in preventing further damage and reducing the strain on the joint. They can also provide compression, which might aid in reducing swelling to some extent.
I have a great article that might help you decide if you want to buy a knee compression sleeve. Please check out this link: www.feelgoodlife.com/the-knee-compression-sleeve-a-complete-guide-for-joint-relief/

Hey, @cjfromyoutube6280 Since we aren't able to do a physical exam and see exactly what is going on with your knee, I can't for sure recommend what exercises you should do. However, what I can tell you is that, as for using a hinged knee brace, it's possible that it may help you walk, bend, and straighten your knee more comfortably, but again, this depends on your specific condition.
Regarding your question about using RICE method, this is commonly used for treating minor injuries, such as sprains or strains. You can generally follow this method for the first 48 to 72 hours after an injury. Resting and avoiding activities that worsen your pain is crucial during this time.
I suggest, if your knee is not improving at all, reach out to a healthcare professional. They can assess your situation, provide an accurate diagnosis, and recommend the most appropriate treatment, which may include the use of a knee brace, physical therapy, or other interventions.
