Had to watch so many brief reviews with no details. This review however was the most thorough and informative. First one where the drip tray was removed (important as i use a 16 oz travel cup). You pretty much showed everything unlike the other reviews. Ice will melt better if you add the milk/creamer/halfhalf after brewing. Also then don’t have to worry about overflow. I think every kcup will dispense a little bit different amount of water each time.

So far I like mine. The MultiStream system makes the cheaper coffees taste better and with strong brew setting it tastes like a standard quality cup of coffee.

Just got mine. I have a ton of target k-cups to use, and they don’t seem to fit! They “float” when you set them in. I tried my SF bay cups and Scooters brand- same thing. Wouldn’t close. Had my other keurig for 4 years- what am I doing wrong?

you could have a bad bottom needle basket, I might call Keurig and talk with them. 866-901-2739 They can send you a new bottom needle basket, I had to have one sent to me one time.

In your opinion best coffee k-cup?
Thanks for your videos, very informative! Mine has started leaking while brewing at the top. The stream comes through the needle, however water leaks from the front and goes into the cup making it very weak. Any suggestion on how to fix?

@@JustADad Hello again! I did that and it is still happening. There is quite a bit of water going into the mug. It should all be coffee, shouldn't it since all 5 needles go into the cup?
@@marciwippel2347 Yes all 5 needles should puncture the top and all the water should go through the k cup. is it like this will a k cups you use. I would try a different k cup maybe a more expensive k cup. sometimes k cups are not made correctly.
i can’t figure out at what point in the brew process should i hit the strong button? does it work for both k cup and carafe setting? i’ve tried pushing the button at different times but nothing seems to happen
Push it first it should light up then press the brew button. strong, oz then big k to brew.

I would call Keurig customer care at 866-901-2739. This could be a known issue Keurig has with this model of Keurig. I have had other viewers with the same thing. When they called Keurig some of them said Keurig knew about this issue and sent them a new Keurig. They have great customer service. I think you will need proof of Purchase. So sorry this happened. I hate it when someone follows my directions and then it breaks their machine. I am so sorry.

If you want to fill a travel mug, you can use the 12 ounce button. If you find that the coffee tastes a little weak, next time press the "strong" button prior to brewing. The coffee maker will then use the four needles that surround the central needle to distribute water more evenly around the K-Cup. Frankly, I ALWAYS use the "strong" button regardless of cup size. This always delivers richer tasting coffee because the grounds around the periphery of the K-Cup finally get soaked and actually get to deliver their flavor.
If you want to use your own favorite ground coffee, use the "Universal My K-Cup" adapter instead of the usual K-Cup. I prefer to use a non-Keurig adapter because they don't use the finicky, often times temperamental red silicone seals around where the four needles enter. Ostensibly, these red silicone seals prevent water from backing up around these four holes, creating a mess. However, I've found that water backing up is not a problem, only a justification for Keurig to charge more for their "Universal My K-Cup" adapter. Furthermore, the "Universal My K-Cup" adapter requires you to remove the basket that holds the K-Cups and insert the "Universal My K-Cup" adapter in its place. Now, where do you put that basket you removed? Better not lose it or you won't be able to use disposable K-Cups anymore. Unless, of course you buy a whole new machine. Maybe that's the whole point. Better off buying a non-Keurig five-hole adapter and save some money and a lot of potential frustration.

I find this, correct. I have this same Keurig K-Supreme (silvertone) & I absolutely love it! Now, Amazon sells the pods that clean/descale the unit. I haven't had it long enough, so I don't have to descale, as of yet. This Coffee Maker is Perfect IMO.....I have flavored coffees, regular roast, tea's & hot cocoa & the carousel is great!

I always use the Strong setting and usually use 10 oz. I have tried the iced coffee with half n half and love that too. I use the reservoir in the back for slimmest footprint on the counter next to my sink.. It would have been better if I had viewed this video before setting mine up. I've had four Keurig's in the last year. They have all crapped out. Now I'm using Cuisinart and they are working fine. Goodbye Keurig.

It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here. There is a huge difference in the taste. Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee. This new one is a little different from my old one. I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one. Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.

I have the same machine but with programmable "favorites." It's basically the same machine, though. The descaling works just as you said. However, I can't find any holes in the 4 needles in order to poke the paper clip through. I found the holes in the big needle in the center, but not in the 4 needles on the side. I have pushed all around with the paper clip and even pushed the rubber back a little bit in order to find holes that I can punch through, but to no avail. Any suggestions?

The top 4 smaller needles can be hard to find the hole. it is on the side of the needle and it is on the side you can not see when you are looking at it. I hope my video helps. Let me know how it goes.

Not really sure, but I think the first little amount of water that goes int the k cup in not that hot and the coffees does not have time to bloom to start the extraction process. but that is just a guess. I see this alot on keurigs but not on every k cup
I've been using a K Select for about 5 years and decided it was time to upgrade since it started spilling water out the top. This pitcher style resevoir is great since I can't fit it next to the sink. I just wish these machines didn't have such low clearance for tumblers. I don't like removing the spill tray. If anyone can recommend a tubler that fits that isn't Contigo I'd check it out.

I just purchased one and noticed that when I put the kcup in and close the lid it doesn't seem to close completely. Is this normal for this machine?
I just check mine and yes it should close all the way just like when there is no k cup installed. If none of these ideas work give Keurig A Call they have really good customer service. 866-901-2739

2. is this with a plastic k cup or a Reusable K cup that you put your own coffee grounds in

What's the purpose of the red seal on the My K-Cup Universal filter? Doesn't it it keep the water from streaming from those other four holes? We just purchased a Keurig K-Supreme Plus Coffee Brewer and used one of the My K-Cup Universal filter (the new design) and the top came off when we opened the machine and had a royal mess. How can we avoid that?

But we sure did have a royal mess to clean up from the major volcanic eruption of the previous brew with the red thingy in place. This machine is a Keurig K-Supreme Plus and it was a bit pricey. Thankfully, the machine survived and so did we!
K supreme is a great unit. Only flaw is water resovoir being very wobbly

Brew it on a higher oz setting. I brew mine on 8oz and it taste just right, if you want it weaker then brew in on the 10oz or 12oz it will be a lot weaker.

I just got the K supreme plus and the stream is not a single stream like yours - it had two streams and no clue how to fix it. And, it splashes A LOT all over the counter. It is brand new...🤷♀️ I don't know if it is defective or is that just how it is.

The bottom of the needle basket has 4 pie shaped opening's make sure each one is clean.
Let me know if this fixes it. I would also clean the top needles just to be sure.

@@JustADad Yes and when I opened the top to take the pod out there was a little residual water around the edge of the needle basket. So perhaps that is the issue! Thank you so much for the suggestion and #! I really appreciate it. It is my very first Keurig! I was so disappointed because I really don't want to return it.

What is your favorite K Cup?
Well I tried it and my machine smoked and now won't turn on? At the last rinse
The Keurig K Supreme Models have a history of this problem. The unit can overheat and trip the thermostat on the inside of the machine. I made a video on how to open up your Keurig and reset the thermostat with a paperclip. But it requires you to open it up. This is a link to the video ruclips.net/video/IdE_4NIQEro/видео.html If this does not fix the problem or you are not able to open it up, I would call Keurig 866-901-2739, They are aware of this problem and should replace you unit free of charge. Lot of other viewers have had this same problem during a descale the machine has to run a lot of cycles to run the solution through the machine then the rinse cycles. It is a good idea in the future to let the machine sit for 30 min before you start the rinse cycle, but you have to make sure the machine stays in descale mode or it will not turn you light out at the end of the rinse. Also some K Supreme the low water light does not come on and you might run the machine dry which can also cause the thermostat to trip. In the case of the low water light not coming on you have to stop the process and start all over, but this time you can just use water on both the first part and rinse cycle. The machine has to see the low water light come on for the logic in the descale mode to complete and turn the light off.

Never descale without completely filling the tank. If you don't, it will run dry without much warning and trip the thermostatic. I filled my tank with only 4 cups of water and descaling solution. It ran dry while I was dumping the water when the add water light came on. By the time I got back to the machine it had died.

Make sure nothing if preventing it from sitting all the way down in the groves. I had some coffee in grooves and the tank was not all the way down.

I was thinking about buying this machine and thought your video was really helpful, just two question though. 1.Can the travel mugs lid be left on while brewing (It's a travel mug that came from a coffee maker that brewed the coffee into it while lid is kept on)? 2.Can I set the k-cup in the night before, shut the lid and press the strong button, then size button and leave it at that. Then in the morning press the actual brew button or does it all have to be done at the time of brewing?
The travel mug will depend on how tall it is with its lid on. if it's more than 7" tall probably not. As far as the getting it ready for the next day. I would say no. The machine will turn off and when your turn it on in the morning you will have to lift the lid to activate it and press the memory button you want. Thanks for Watching!!!

New machine same results Keurig will pull this video cause they claim the five holes are better. better taste better better hog wash. What they should of done is give the people what they want. I'm still rocking my 2.0 I can brew 14 oz at once don't have to wait for the machine to reheat.

With (5) five needles you can't use those reusable K-Cup pods and are stuck with the disposable pods. That is a deal breaker for me because I like to customize the reusable pods with different grinds and quantities. Too bad because this seems like a good unit.
