Thank you so much for watching and for the kind words. I never thought the channel would even reach this level when I started to be honest. It's a joy and pleasure to share the experience of these motorcycles with everyone. If the channel helps 1 person in any way, then I am happy. Stay safe and enjoy the ride
Yeah, that would be a big jump in power and goes to show power is relative to the end user. I have a 07 nighthawk that I bought for my wife and kids to learn on. It's a great bike also! Have you had any issues with it in the time you've owned it? Always love to hear how owner's experiences are with the bikes. Anyway, stay safe and I hope you're enjoying your new bike!
@MotorcycleDemoRiders I have only put 60 miles on my Super meteor so far. I don't expect to have any problems untill the 3000 mile mark. The guys in India have said that is the point where, on the early Super Meteors, they were replacing the breaks. Thier have been some complaints out of India of premature chain stretch however this may have been fixed buy putting on redesigned front sprocket. Only time will tell.
Thank you very much for watching and for pointing out about the center stand! Very much enjoyed getting the chance to try out this bike. Stay safe and enjoy the ride!
I like the straight forward, no nonsense - information. The test-drive was for me, the information I was looking for. You are the first one to present 0-60MPH time, that was great information since none other provided this info. Thank you very much! Have a great 2024! ...and that is not cold brother. -16 Celsius here in Sweden last day and -40 up in the north of Sweden. Great content! Keep it up!
Thank you for taking the time to comment. I am glad that you were able to get the information you needed. Honestly, I didn't think doing a RUclips channel would help anyone when I started but after 8 months it's been very rewarding for me to share the experiences with all the bikes, I was fortunate to ride. I appreciate you for your kind words and wish you the best in 2024 also. I will keep traveling to dealers and demo events as long as I am physically able to do so! Yeah that is really cold lol. Stay safe and again thank you!
@@MotorcycleDemoRiders Today we had warmer weather and 0 Celsius. I am fine, I have a car. But my only kid, 15 Yo I gave him a Peugeot 50cc EU Scooter for X-mas present and he cant wait for spring to drive it to school. The boy is a classic cruiser fan and he dont know it yet but I will get the 650 Meteor for his 18th Birthday. Yes I spoil him... but he is my only kid. 😍
Thats a really cool present! I would have loved to get a 50cc scooter when I was younger to take to school! Nothing wrong with getting them something that they will enjoy and be able to use! I have 4 kids all boys. I have 1 left under 18 now and as a parent you are always trying to get them more than what you had growing up. Some take it to far at times but its out of love! My oldest doesn't have a favorite class of bikes just like his dad in that regard. 1 is more towards cruisers and the others are into sport bikes right now. That changes over time of course since yes in my younger years I was a sport bike guy also. Motorcycling is a journey of personal discovery and I hope your son enjoys his journey and stays safe on it!
Nothing against the UK for their reviews but I'm happy to see a review here in the USA. I bought my RE Super Meteor about a month ago and I couldn't be happier with it. The style, the ride, the handling and the brakes are great. The ABS and the 3 year warranty is nice. I've had a couple Harleys and they were good bikes but I love my RE Super Meteor 👌
I am glad you found the video and I'm happy that I could share it. I enjoy very much the opportunity to experience all these bikes but was very excited to try the Super Meteor 650. Thank you for sharing your experience with it and I'm glad to hear how much you are enjoying it. Between my thoughts which are just live reactions to the comments of others I'm hoping it will help others when they are thinking about whatever bike it is. Stay safe and thanks for taking the time to comment!
That is possible and I would love to try it. That said I loved this bike more than I thought I would. It has a charm about it that makes riding very enjoyable. Seems like brands other than the big 4 are really helping to push the industry forward and I love to see it. Thanks for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it very much! Stay safe
No matter how many years or how many bikes I've been fortunate enough to ride, I will never lose that smile. Thank you for taking your time to comment! Stay safe
...bought a SM650 in summer and mostly zipping around town with it. Although quite chunky, it's still small and agile enough (kinda) to filter through traffic. Best place for this thing though are country roads, just cruising along with 80/90ish kph and enjoying the view. Love the engine, it's not a very powerful one, but has a broad torque range and once you get it up running, it happily chugs along.
It's very nice to get an owners perspective on this bike. I enjoyed it very much in the short time I got to ride it, and your assessment is spot on. I also enjoyed the open country roads and the relaxed nature of this bike. My hour long commute would be a breeze with it I think. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts and experiences. Stay safe and enjoy the ride!
Thank you very much for watching and taking the time to comment. I appreciate it! and I very much enjoyed the brief time I had trying this bike! It was worth the wait
Solid upgrade! Double the power output from the 350 but still not stupid power. Comfort is good. Definitely would recommend taking one for a ride and I think you would like it. If you do would be interested in how you felt about it.
I am getting this bike - in that color way - but I'm hoping by the time I'm ready they put the new single speedo unit from the new Himalayan on this unit. Would be perfect.
Oh, that would be a nice update! The full tft from the new Himalayan is really nice looking without question. Thanks for taking the time to comment and share your next purchase idea. Stay safe
I have the Meteor 350 and love it, really considering moving up to this one, but worried the increased weight might negate the increased CCs. Sounds like it didn't for you which is reassuring
It's roughly 110 lbs more in the wieght, I think, between the 2. It is a lot faster than the 350, and you will notice the difference in power. That's a solid bike to move up, too, and I think you would enjoy it. Thanks for watching and for the comment. I really appreciate it. Stay safe and enjoy the ride
That bike if faster than most Pony cars from 10 years ago!!! It is plenty Fast!!! I thought the 0-60 was going to be high 7 or low 8 seconds... Under 7 Seconds is impressive to be honest!!
They seem to be staying in the segment of 7000 bikes and making solid bikes in my mind. I was fortunate to ride every 2023 model and enjoyed them all. 2024 seems like it will be the same. RE just keeps making good bikes!
Well I guess that wasn't the intro to go with. Trying new things and this one wasn't right I suppose. Thank you for your comment and criticism. I appreciate it very much!
loved the review, in EU 47hp is for beginner license i believe, as an Indian it makes sense as EU is one of their biggest buyers. adding few more HP will make them "not available" for basic licences they can rather go 70hp on a different bike. so cap on 47 is good 👍
Makes sense and honestly I don't think it needs more power. I do forget sometimes how the licensing system works in the EU but I can appreciate how they work riders up the ladder of power. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and spreading the information to others. I appreciate it! Stay safe and Enjoy the Ride
It would be interesting to see them make a bike of that capacity, and I don't disagree in regards to the US market, but i don't see it happening. RE making the investment needed to build an entirely new engine wouldn't make great business sense, in my opinion. Their core market is outside the us, and they are doing well by all metrics. Appreciate you for sharing your thoughts and opinion. Stay safe
Too bad the engine still requires valve adjustments like an old motorcycle does. It's quite a procedure on this bike & if done by a dealer quite expensive.
Valid statement with a 6000-mile service interval, I am a DIY guy and have always done my own services, including valves. However, it is definitely something to consider for the non mechanically inclined. Thanks for bringing this up for anyone looking at this bike.
Yes, I've been riding since 1968 & owned many bikes during that time. I currently ride a 2020 Royal Enfield Trials 500 Replica & love it. A good bike for the back country roads of Pennsylvania where I live. I've had old Harleys which were easy to do the valves adjustments because the adjustments are easily done by removing a cover which is outside of the engine. Two of them actually. My 500 Enfield has hydraulic lifters that have no adjustment. Those UCE (unit engines) have had them since 2009. @@MotorcycleDemoRiders
So simple not necessary to involve a dealer, with modern bikes usually the first adjustment will be the only one you'll need as metals have changed, heat disipation and cooling have changed.
I watched a guy do the valve adj. on the meteor 650. I have to say that it's extremely easy on this bike. I do adjustments on my VTX 1300 and it's much, much harder to get your fingers into the extremely small spaces they provide on the VTX. Since I am getting old I am thinking of going down to a 650 cause it's 150 pounds or so lighter than my VTX. One of the reasons I am thinking about it is because the valve adjustments are so easy on the Royal E. compared to the VTX.
@jlrutube1312 It does look pretty simple on the meteor which is great since it comes up quickly. But yeah the VTX is a fun one so the meteor would seem like a simple task in comparison. Its a lot of fun and I'm sure you'd enjoy riding it.
Appreciate you for sharing your thoughts. Nothing wrong with differing opinions. In comparison with Triumph bikes its isn't as good overall but RE is getting better but they aren't going to be challenging for the top crown anytime soon.(probably never)
A normal person using normal words to review a really nice bike. Good job, Sir! I hope this is a big hit.

I went from a 230cc Honda Knighthawk to a Super Meteor and for me it has tons of power.

I’m toying with this as an upgrade from my Meteor 350 which is just a tad underpowered. I love the look, and don’t want anything super quick
