The double metaphor in the end of video is crazy. Although, he's been singing the song from his perspective for the whole song. At the end, although he's singing, he's singing what the girl was feeling as well. If you remember at the beginning of the video the girlfriend's friend mentioned how she & Tory had been together for some years & now they're taking it to the next level in their relationship by getting a crib together. The girlfriend said her friend & Tory was all she had. So when she saw them smashing it broke her heart. That's why at the end it was flashing back to what she saw. "You two are all I have & I trusted you & you do this? Guess the jokes on me. But im going to get the last laugh. " That's why she was holding his corpse, she still loved him but he crushed her heart. No more best friend, no more Tory, she feels the true gravity of loneliness & being totally alone. If you just listen to the song it would've been way harder to decode the story, but the song & the visuals were a perfect marriage in showcasing the story. Man, Tory is a fucking genius.
