Lambert did an awesome job editing but it's very easy for this match to be taken out of context, so I'll add some 😂 This finals was played past midnight after 7 tournament rounds. Players were hungry, we had been hanging out for 10+ hours, and both Alex and I even put time into cleaning and setting up the tournament venue. Alex is one of my closest card game friends in Vancouver (second to David) and we often play each other like this as a running joke. Jokes aside though, he's also one of the strongest players I know from a theory and technical standpoint. We often test seriously or chat about theory and different retro formats but at 12:30 am, we were ready to speed run the game -- we even joked that Lambert would have way too many bloopers for a final match. But because Lambert also cut out a lot of the conversation to streamline gameplay, you also lose a lot of the context of us joking around and just having fun. I'll be the first to say that the DDV miscount, cold wave, and gold sarc miscounts are as much my fault as anybody else's. I also would never call Alex's actions "cheating," just scuffed misplays that were a result of both players being tired, wanting to joke around, and accepting the gamestate. In a more serious environment like a UTW or even just an environment where it wasn't freezing cold and past midnight, technical play would be a lot tighter. I can also guarantee that we'll meet in the finals at another Lambert tourney soon, so we promise we'll play seriously the next time🙄(psyche, I'm gonna forever ruin your footage Lambert).

But to give honest feedback, (more of a personal expectation from the thumbnail ) I was hoping for commentary like a professional tournament. Now i’m going to go see if y’all have frog monarches on your channel because that was the deck from my childhood and I don’t remember how the other decks played.
I feel bad, I see this is a chill car channel now. Keep it up man, sorry I was critiquing from a solo yu gi oh channel perspective. Keep up the good work and keep having fun with it.
this is alex sorry watchers addressing the allegations ima just say i didn’t count turns by this time it was 12 ish and the adhd kicked in and vince is my best buddy in yugioh so we decided to speedrun the finals to go to big way hot pot asap i trusted vince to count the turns for sarc ddv for me but unfortunately he also trusted me to count turns and we were trollin too hard and i was zoned out 😢 garoth mill off celestia was caught and undone and game state was recoverable as for sarc ddv in the tourney my opponents were able to count unlike myself so nothing heinous happened to them the sack was crazy so i think deck woulda cooked regardless if i thought for more than 10 seconds each play but who knows lambert was too cheap to hire a judge😂 so vince and i agreed to split the prize to fund our future big way hot pot purchases 🎉
I feel like that Alex guy should be banned from attending your events not only did he cheat multiple times he seemed very disrespectful twords his opponent that kinda negativity should not be allowed
