Those compressors come right out of the Copeland compressor factory and they are the biggest pieces of crap.A lot of times they need check vales in both the discharge line and the suction line for some reason. I recommend when ever building a Thermostatic expansion valve ( yes no using acronyms because they are not TXVs) use oil on the threads and the external equalizer line is for the pressure drop through the evaporator coil.
