I get you. As a non-Korean speaker (also Filo), Kpop has been mine and my sister's way of bonding. Music has saved us since 2009 (SNSD, 2ne1, Sistar, etc). I can't explain it, but there's something beautiful and peaceful in singing songs that you don't essentially understand each word, but just go with the emotions. Hearing the ones that became our "redemption songs" can be really nostalgic - it makes us really emotional and evokes a LOT of memories.
This is by far my favorite comment I ever got on this channel so far! :) There are alot but this one hits! I'm glad you and your sister understand! Music hits all aspects no matter the language. Just brings out beautiful memories!
3 Kpop idols that I can think of who are non Korean or some sort of Korean Lineage can pull off that Song aside Elisia who is Filipina. its Ningning of Aespa who is Chinese, Hanni Pham of New Jeans who is Vietnamese-Australian, & Maybe Lily of NMIXX who is Korean-Australian🙂
When you forgot Colet and Maloi of BINI.. Filipinos dont used lip sync and used Auto tune.. Doin it live is the signature of all professional singers even non pro whose hobby is singing. all
