its not just that, you have to understand they were both playing the role of being in the dark -- noone had the wisdom or were playing it any smarter then the other; it can easily be seen as one individual being in closer proximity to the abuse victim and simply picking up the small factors that go into that, while the other is more focus on the individual and doesnt see the victim and is more interested in defusing the situation -- the only real fault is not wearing the mask but that is sort of a part of Dekus MO and it was only pulled up to hide his identity from the villian which doesnt really help and would seem kind of telling if someone threw it up. in fact the most out of place thing is the nicely handled but obviously false lines stated by Mirio, he kept his cool but if you are suspicious you will pick up on his excuses and his somewhat overly jovial nature
I'd like to think the way Deku and Lemillion handled the Eri situation has to do with their mentors personalities All Might--->Deku Nighteye--->Lemillion
@@TrueHavoc13 He didn't need to fight him. Eri was in his arms, he could have just left. If anyone thinks Overhaul could keep up with 8% full cowling much less a higher percentage, they're on some drugs

What I really love about Deku and All Might's talk was how much it paralleled episode 2's talk where All Might tells Izuku he can be a hero. Both times the sun is setting behind All Might but this time there's leaves blowing in the wind (symbolizing the end of life) unlike cherry blossoms in the first time (symbolizing the beginning of change). If you ever decide to rewatch the series you could see this type of information was hinted at before hand whenever Deku talks about the future with All Might. He's always reluctant to talk about the far future, because he knows about Nighteye's prediction and had made peace with it. You guys are underestimating how smart Shigaraki is.
lo l yeah, the hit on Overhaul (arguably the deal he made with him beforehand) are the first time we really see him putting a good plan into motion. Previous incidents were either poorly thought out (USJ) or either planned or executed by other members of the League without him even present (summer training camp). I’d say we only really got to see a smart Shigaraki once he no longer had All for One to rely on
I really love the simplicity of the dilemma Lemillion and Deku found themselves in, because both are absolutely correct in their own assessments of the situation. It was essentially a lose-lose situation because they ran into Chisaki at all. But the outcome is actually somewhat conversely related but running parallel to the theme we've been introduced to this season of a set destiny, but where there was no telling how the situation was going to play out in the moment. Ultimately the result wasn't because of either Mirio or Deku's decision's, but fell to Overhaul's instead. The irony of that sticks with me in that it was probably his decision that was honestly the most ideal out of that situation for the heroes.

16:59 About the whole fighting fate thing, first of all, Kratos would like a word with you. Second, there's a fable concerning fate about two frogs who accidentally got trapped in a bucket of fresh milk. The bucket was full enough to drown in, but the walls of the bucket were too high and too smooth for the frogs to climb out again. One frog, realising they were doomed, accepted his fate, ceased his struggles, and sank to the bottom of the bucket, and drowned. The second frog, however, refused to give in, and kept trying to leap out of the bucket. And as he kept flailing and thrashing, eventually the frog's efforts churned the milk into cream, and became stable enough that the frog was able to brace against it and leap out of the bucket to freedom. The moral is that, even if your fate is apparently inescapable, you still fight against it if it is not what you wish for, as there is always a chance to defy fate.
Usually it’s mice that fall into the bucket because frogs are extremely proficient swimmers/floaters(floating to conserve energy). And the dimensions of the bucket start getting wonky, cause let me tell you that would be a very tall bucket
