Great finishes and love your progress on Maria Lariccha - those ladies do look like milkmaids to me. Wishing you and your family a very happy holiday season and a productive stitching in 2024.
Thank you so much for your kind comment on my video. Those milkmaids crack me up. I will now always see them as flying monkeys. Happy stitching. Best, K
Your ornaments are so pretty, as is the Biscornu, great job! Maria is looking great, you' be gotten a lot done. Great haul, especially the fabric. Marilyn
Thank you for sharing. Marie is so beautiful. Love those red samplers. I am going to start another one on Jan 1st. Jingle Ball was fun. Stitched all weekend!! I was able to get my grandchildren’s ornaments finished. Always so great to see you.
Thank you so much for your comment on my video. I am happy to hear that you also loved Jingle Ball. Good for you, getting ornaments done for grandkids. I look forward to seeing you again soon. Best, K
Hi Karen. Your Jingle Ball finishes are great! I did attend a bit but laptop is struggling. I skipped and watched some entertainment. Stephanie’s Yoga for Stitches really took the cake! Have a wonderful Christmas
Susan, You can still see replays of any classes you took for a bit more. I don't remember the end date. I only saw a couple minutes of the yoga session. I should have watched the whole thing. Everyone is raving about it. Hope to see you soon. Best, K
Your PS Santas all look so cute, and your red sampler is coming along beautifully. Glad you enjoyed the Jingle Ball and your finishing and pins look great. Love all your stash. That's the way to do it - by the bolt (or two) lol. Have a good couple of weeks. Take care, and happy stitching, Arleen
Thank you for being such a loyal follower and commenter. That means a lot to me. I appreciate your compliment on my JB finishes. That bolt was a steal! Comes out to $4.28/yd! Can't get that price at Joann's or Hobby Lobby. See you soon. Best, K
I so enjoy watching your floss tubes. I live in Evansville, Indiana, which is a ways from Lexington but consider you a stitchy friend. Love to see what you are working on and your finishes.
Even though I currently live in KY, I am originally from Michigan. Evansville feels like it is in the neighborhood. I love thinking that we are stitchy friends. If you join Central Kentucky Stitchers on FB, you will be notified of our online stitch meet ups. I would love to see you. Take care. Happy stitching. Best, K
Lovely to see you this evening Karen. It's been miserable here in the West of Ireland weatherwise. Perfect for stitching. I started @MFE Remember Me this week with @roxyflossco Vierlande & I'm absolutely loving it. Finding it very hard to put it down to return to domestic life. So glad you enjoyed the Jingle Ball, those finishes are lovely. Maria is really coming on so well. She'll certainly be close to a finish in January. The Santa's are great. I'm sure your family will love them. I'm sorting out my craft area at the minute preparing for 2024. I really like your focus piece idea & think I'll do it next year for my MFE SALs. I have 2023 & 2024 to do. I got the Roxy threads for 2023 so I'm really looking forward to working with them. Take care, best wishes from 🇮🇪
AnneMarie, I am happy to hear your review of Roxy Floss Co thread. I hear good things about it. I am sure the MFE will be stunning. All of Jacob's patterns are wonderful. I applaud you for straightening out your craft room in preparation for the new year. I think you will like the result of have a focus piece (or two). You will be amazed at the progress you can make. Happy stitching. Best, K
So good to see you tonight and I love your finishes. You did great job! I have a hockey player from prairie schooler that I hope to stitch one day. Perhaps your grandsons would like the hockey player too. Have a great 2 weeks. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for your comment on my video. I loved all of the projects for the classes I chose. Good luck getting yours finished. You will be so happy when you do. Happy stitching. Best, K
Your finishes from the Jingle Ball look amazing! Love the pins and biscornu. I went monogamous this month because I want to complete Christmas Bells Sampler by Heartstring Samplery. Hopefully next year I will be able to attend the Jingle Ball. Caregiving took precedence this year. That was a great deal on the bolt of fabric. Perfect for bags and finishing! Happy stitching!
I love your pins! They look terrific! So does your biscornu😊. I stitched a biscornu many years ago but never put it together. I've even watched videos on how to do it. I'm just terrible when it comes to FFO-ing things. I'm determined to get to it one day, though! Glad you found a good home for your sewing machine and table😊
Thank you so much for your comment on my video. The biscornu really did turn out great. Jeannine was a great teacher. I wish I could sit down with you and show you how. Maybe you will find a really good tutorial that will help you. Happy stitching. Best, K
Great finishes from the Jingle Ball. I’m hoping I took good enough notes from Misty’s class. The stitching tables were fun and I loved the Meet and Greets. I also meant to add that I love your idea of a focus piece. I may have to borrow that idea for 2024.
You still have time to rewatch the class online. I thought she had a great class. I did a little of the meet & greet. Didn't get to any of the stitching tables. I have heard other floss tubers talk about how much fun they were. I'll have to try that next time. I think you would find having a focus piece will really help you get a great project done. Sarah's Stitchy Spot does a modification of what I do, but she likes it also. Give it a try either on your older WIP like I do, or on a project you really want to get done like Sarah does. I would love to hear about how it works out for you. Happy stitching. Best, K
Hi Karen, I loved seeing your Jingle Ball finishes, maybe next year I can have myself organized enough to participate, it sounds like such fun. Your WIPs are really coming along! I have all 40+ Prairie Schooler Santas stitched & hope to have a few FFO'd by Christmas (if I don't sleep a wink between now and then), and then finish FFOing the remainder before Christmas 2024. What a treat...a full bolt of BBD fabric....you lucky gal. I know you will enjoy every stitch of it! I hope you have beautiful Florida weather throughout your time there and look forward to seeing you before Christmas! xoxo
Thank you so much for your comment on my video. Congratulations on having all of the PS Santas stitched!. That is quite an accomplishment. They are so cute. See you next time. Best, K
Oh love your finish and ohh the biscournu! I have 1 or 2 patterns for them. Omg I have no decorations up and nothing bought nor made! Been so busy with helping daughter get moved. Just arrived home today from returning up there (t.t hrs away) and now 😢not till spring unless needed cos of winter weather in the cape breton highlands of NS
Sorry I missed you at the Jingle Ball. I did pop in and out of several stitching rooms. I wished the was a message or list of who was in each room. I'm definitely going to do it again next year. I'm not on Instagram. I think Steph is going to do another one on Super Bowl Sunday in Feb. I'm going to keep an eye on Lindy stitches. I did the biscornu too. I'm stitching a second one on 14 count Aida now. And I'm stitching the Hot Cocoa freebie on black Aida too. 😊 Happy stitching.
Sounds like we have the same taste in projects. Congratulations on your biscornu. I need to stitch another one soon so I don't forget what I learned. The Hot Cocoa freebie is so cute. I need to do that one soon too. Happy stitching. Best, K
Hi Karen! Loved seeing your finishes from jingle ball! Your Maria sampler is gorgeous ! You said you're Stitching that on 56 count and it looked very big. I can only imagine what it would be on 28 count which is what I stitch on! Happy stitching! Lori
I am so happy to know that you watched The Paisley Stitcher. She is amazing. There is so much history to samplers that I just don't know. Happy stitching. Best, K
Your Biscornu came out lovely. I also love your ornament finishes. I can’t wait to do Jingle Ball again next year. We will have to make plans to meet in a chat room. I didn’t find anybody I knew st any of the stitching tables I popped in to. Happy Christmas to yo7 and your family.
Thank you so much for your comment. We definitely have to have a plan for meeting in a stitching room at next year's Jingle Ball. I will certainly be doing it again. Best, Karen
Merry Christmas, Karen! I love all your PS Santa's, I have only stitched one and was not happy with the fabric. You seemed to enjoy the Davos , so I think I will get a small cut and see if I like it. Not normally a 2 thread gal, but the finish was so pretty. I think your should start an accountability group! I love that you have a system that works for you and I am encouraged to try it. Which video do you explain your system of stitching. Bravo on Maria, it shows that your system works, really stunning. Take care.....
Sarah, I think you are asking about my system of stitching for PS Santas, right? I use two DMC threads over one Davos thread. I use Jean Farish's method for stitching 1 over 1 to accomplish this. Go to her video #15 for a demonstration. Let me know if you need more information. Best, K
I have taken your idea of a focus piece to finish my WIPs now, also starting with the oldest. It’s a good plan. I’m combining it with WIPGO for next year and looking forward to making real progress in finishing my pieces.
I love that you are taking my idea and making it your own! I think you will be please with the progress you make. I would love to hear how it works for you as you go through the year. Happy stitching. Best, K
Hi Karen! I always enjoy your videos even if I don't comment often. I didn't go to the Jungle Ball but would have taken Beth's counting pin class too. The ladies on Maria remind me of the flying monkeys on The Wizard of Oz 🙄, such a gorgeous sampler.
Hello Karen enjoyed seeing your beautiful work. Maria is amazing. You have a wonderful collection of charts to stitch during the New Year cannot wait to see your progress. Happy stitching
Thank you for your comment on my projects. I am really happy to be seeing progress on Maria. She was seeming like a slow slog when I only gave her 3 days/month. Seven days really makes a difference. Happy stitching. Best, K
So I Googled how to pronounce Maria's last name. I couldn't find one spelled exactly like hers. Maybe a different spelling? But it's pronounced: La reach a (in the beautiful Italian accent).
I absolutely use a magnifier! It is a combination light and magnifier by Brightech that I got on Amazon. There are a ton of different sizes and styles available on Amazon. You would be surprised what a difference the magnifier makes. It makes any count of fabric look the size you need it for stitching. Happy stitching. Best, K
@@recoveringmonogamousstitch1947 I wear a pair of MagEyes with a #5 lens. I do well with bringing the magnification closer to me. That, and a bright light.
Hello! Just found you and how interesting you are! So where in Kentucky do you live? We lived in Paducah for about 6 years. Going to search for the paisley stitcher now.
Thank you for letting me know that you just found my channel. I live south of Lexington. Paducah is a long drive. It is surprising how big KY is east-west. I hope you found The Paisley Stitcher. She is amazing. Happy stitching. Best, K

Maria is looking great, you' be gotten a lot done.
Great haul, especially the fabric.

I agree. The fabric was an absolute steal! $4.28/yd. Can't get that at Joann's or HL. Happy stitching. Best, K
Your jingle ball stitches are very cute. Maria is a Beauty !!! Great haul.
Thank you! 😊 You are catching up on back FT's. I appreciate your loyalty. Best, K

The Paisley Stitcher’s video #8 was amazing. I need to watch it again and I need to pick out a GIgi R to stitch.

Another great floss tube - I am starting Smith Sampler on Jan 1st
I had wanted to start Smith on my birthday, but the fabric is in KY. Oh well. I am sure I have something else appropriate. Happy stitching. Best, K

Nice to see you again 😀 Love those round ornaments!!!!!
Laurel, Thanks for stopping by again. Jingle Ball was great fun. Hope you can give it a go next year. Happy stitching. Best, K
