What I do is release when they're light and give their head a bit. I don't ride with a contact at all at the walk, so the lightest rein means something. If I pick up the reins and they stop but are leaning on the bit, I wait until they get soft, then release
When she says Sunny, the horse she's on, is half brother to Allegro, does she mean the multi award winning Allegro that's ridden by that top female Dressage champion? I should know her name but can't remember. If I heard it I'd know it. It's French. Charlotte Du something, I think. But I'm asking if this horse is half brother to that horse, Allegro.
