Something thar I love about all of Sean’s videos is that there’s basically three Seans: Gaming Sean, Script Sean, and Narrator Sean, and they’re always at odds with one another

Look man you're mining for diamonds one second then a creeper blows you off a 70 block fall into a lush cave. Then if you survived that pesky baby zombie comes to clap them cheeks. I joke but they have actually made caves and the snow biome more dangerous.

22:30, add the comforts mod.
It adds sleeping bags that get out back into your inventory automatically after use and hammocks that let you sleep through the day.
The sleeping bags are super easy to make too, only 3 pieces of wool in a line
The traveler’s backpack mod is better.
It has sleeping bags too and makes your inventory bigger than a double chest

23:53 this is why the books exist, the books tell you everything you need to know about the caves, what you can get from them, what the mobs are, and etc.
1. Familiarize yourself with the ore distribution chart for 1.18+, It's on the wiki if you search for 'ore'. Iron /can/ be found higher up with your best chances at around y:232 (basically extremely high shear cliffs or mountains.). For underground iron, you'll wanna look anywhere between y:50 and y:-16.
TLDR; Basically stick with the stone layers and avoid deepslate for Iron mining.
2. Watch a man die of radiation poison with toxic barrels in his inventory. XD
Who knew that putting a radioactive drum filled with glowing green goo in your pocket would be a bad idea...
I spent a couple of hours studying this mod mechanics and here is some tips
Deep Ones are reputation based they wont attack you unless you attack them, and maybe you can start up some commerce with them
You can tame and ride some dinos(t-rex pterodactyl and some herbivores i think)
Red magnets pull and blue magnets push(you are more affected if you are wearing metalic armour)
And lastly....
Please organize your hotbar and inventory you could be doing a lot better in combat with this, not just in this mod
I imagine he recorded this quite a while ago, one of the old bugs that only got fixed in the most recent version was that the deep ones were literally always aggressive, even if they considered you a friend. Made the biome extremely annoying to explore
you can't tame any of the herbivores in this mod.

You can still use them. Grottoceratops can breed to make eggs and can eat curly ferns to turn those into fiddleheads. Relicheirus can be fed Primordial Soup for it to break any tree it sees. They have their uses

-It looks like the first deep one spawned because of the gossamer's death + it tried to get as close to him as possible (as if to attack), instead of running away when spotted, so it looks like killing the passive fish can piss off the deep ones, or at least get an individual onto you-
The Deep Ones are pretty much the Villagers of the mod, they don't attack at first and just follow until you get too close, but if you attack them...then its very hard to calm them down

Forge labs at its best: You open the video, and before your 3 minutes in, you see Sean walking directly into a Skeleton without getting wood or tools yet. This is why I we love your channel, keep making videos Sean!

To call this mod a simple cave mod is such a massive understatement lol. Each cave is huge and is bigger than a biome and all have a ton of content

I think this mod deserves more than a 100 days because it felt a bit rushed in some sections.
Sean...I've read the advice you've received on your videos like RL craft. It's not bad advice...it's that you follow it in the most bassackwards way possible. Case in point: Go higher to find iron. What do you do? Go to a giant MOUND OF DIRT and then wonder why there are no ores in the dirt. 😆

the advice is often super stupid, there's been people suggesting it in videos where he hardly came across a rocky mountain biome or any mountain biome, nobody is going to find a mountain biome just for some iron, its just easier to find a big cave and mine it from there

If you want to use this mod again, give yourself 5 of all the cave codex. You get them from doing the annoying tablet thing and they fill your guide book.

Have you checked the laser lens on the bottom of the mouse? They can collect dust and grime and that can block the laser. I use a soft cloth or tp to clean it and that works well for me. Might not fix the issue, but it's worth a try.
The issue is the batteries. He just needs new batteries

The mod looks amazing and the features it adds are sick, the problem is the caves are RARE and the maps to find them are only in structures that are also rare. Then factor in minecraft terrain generation and how the biome could be the size of one chunk and completely filled with stone and have no caves.
It just doesn't seem fun to find genuinely especially if you have no other mods to help with finding it.
Use explorers compass to find the cabins
yh most the mobs have super cools animations and designs especailly the oceans and primordial cave and alot of the magnet mobs are cool I like the one that is a magnet slingshot

honestly i like how rare they are. i think this mod would shine in a large modpack where it isn’t the main focus, so it’s like a little treat when you stumble across one of these cool ass caves every once in awhile while on a massive quest or something
the cabins aren't that rare. they really could boost the biome size, but the cabins are frequent enough where you'd find plenty without even looking for them

Hey Sean I hope your having a fine day today. I have a quick tip to save you tons of wood logs. When you make charcoal, wait till the first pice is finished cooking, and move it to the fuel section. Keep doing this with the produced charcoal, until you have 6-10 pieces in the fuel slot for a full stack of logs. Charcoal has a longer burn time than logs so you get more this way, quicker

27:21 not a lot of people know this, but in minecraft, rarely a giant vein of iron can spawn with several stacks worth of iron at bellow y=0, these veins have normal iron ore, and blocks of raw iron, surrounded by tuff blocks, you are sitting in one here and have made it a home, trust me, if you find iron ore in tuft, keep mining, there will be so much iron
Man, you’re lucky the deep ones didn’t do a raid on you afterwards.
(Yes, they can do that if your reputation goes low enough. They have a fish wizard who helps them go on the surface.)

in the caves and cliffs update and forward, iron does generate more frequently up higher in mountains due to the new ore distribution.
for iron, i think it’s at Y levels upwards of 100 that iron is more abundant
surprised you don’t use just enough resources as well as just enough items since you get a nice looking graph for the ores when “r”ing them
Most common from 0-50 virtually zero spawns above 60
@@michaelsurratt1864 it is fairly abundant in really tall mountains- would describe the spread as a > shape along the Y levels, but most world gen can’t get to the top part of the spread
