Great video as usual!! I really liked how you did the そうですね questions (It's too easy if you only do the first type one time, and the second type one time after that, so asking 3 times like that is perfect). And I also liked the little でぃ vs り part :)
On some RUclips videos you will hear a very elongated "Ohayoo gozaimaaaaaaaaaaasu"..lol I also remember trying to pronounce a woman's name, which was "Kaori", which I think is pronounced "kao-rli", but I'm not sure...
However they say ohayoogozaimasu, the pitch accent is the same if the person speaks Tokyo dialect. And the place that can be said long is the same, which is ま as you write it. Kaori is heinan in Tokyo but atamadaka in Yamanashi dialect(maybe in some other places too). So when I first moved to Yamanashi, it felt strange 😊
When there is a breakdown pitch lesson like this, i know exactly what the differences. But when i hear japanese people talk or even some audio book its sound different from your explanation. Why this happen? Did you made that pitch accent by your style-speaking? Because of this, i think pitch accent is not really necessary because japanese people is tend to change a little bit too. Maybe you can make video about this.. Because I or maybe all learners too, seems a bit confusing when it comes to learning speaking with pitch accent or without pitch accent.
I make these pitch accent patterns based on Standard Japanese, which is spoken around Tokyo. People from different areas speak with a different pitch accent. If you think pitch accent is not necessary, you don't have to learn it. Japanese people understand you anyway.
I think the fastest way is to learn hiragana and katakana first. If you can’t read them, you need to relay on roman alphabets, which keeps your pronunciation from improving. Good luck 👍

I say うん a lot, especially when listening to my kid talking 😂. I didn't think about it being a word in 日本語. Just became a habit over the years
Very useful. I would rather speak few Japanese expressions but say them perfectly, than more with a poor accent.
Thank you so much for this video
Very helpful thank you!
My pleasure 😊

東京ローザさん、It's my pleasure! "Very helpful" is とても役(やく)にたちました in Japanese. Please try to use it if you have a chance!☺️
