Hey Antoine, man this was an impactful watch. I just want to say that I personally know what you're talking about, not with panic attacks, but depression and anxiety has been present in my life since 2007. I know the feeling of dread when it's bad, the pit of your stomach churning, dead weight feeling, and also just the day to day challenges it poses in life. It's hard!
Respect for talking about this man. I also really empathize with what you hint at with Astronomy being a major help, I too get that so much.
If you ever want to talk to a 'stranger' about it, man, just reach out! I'm here for you my friend :-)

I feel that Antoine. I had my first panic Attack when I had my burn out and my blood pressure went through the roof (250/140). I thought I would die. Since then I have panic attacks. I have them everywhere... At home, office, while driving even when chilling on a beach on vacation. Stay strong. There will be good times and bad times. But please don't stress about RUclips. We keep watching. Get well and keep the balance . Have a great time.

Ant I know exactly what you're talking about. I've had a number of them over the years. Especially in the past 3 1/2 years. I'm now 63 years old and the past 3 years I've had one medical issue after another. The past issue was last year at the end of August when my left lung collapsed while I was just sitting here reading a book! Spent a week in the hospital, they shove a chest tube into you like it's a meat thermometer. Then I got operated on. A year before that I had to have my gall bladder out. Both times I freaked the fuck out.
Hang in there buddy, I hope you get all the help you need ASAP. You're a good guy it seems to me, Take care of yourself FIRST AND FOREMOST. We'll all still be here.

I am so sorry for your struggle. You are very brave to make this video. Know you are not alone. I admire your skill with astrophotograghy, and I admire your strength in being able to talk about your struggle with anxiety and panic attacks. Two years ago, on September 1st of 2019, my son was hit by a car and killed instantly. I couldn't breath for 6 or 7 months. My chest hurt, my head hurt, my heart was broken and my soul was crushed. I've only one friend that I can talk to about what I was feeling. Time does not heal. It helps. I hope you know there are a lot of us out here that support you and your wife on youtube.
Stay strong !

Thank you SO MUCH for posting! It takes a lot of guts to put yourself out there. I, too, have suffered from this since high school (for thirty years off and on). I have tried lots of things, and I agree, benzos are not a good solution. I have found that regular exercise helps, since it releases endorphins that make you feel better (like natural Xanax).

I admire your courage to put yourself on camera and share your journey with us. It was watching your video about the 8” astrograph that inspired me to finally buy one and start my own astrophotography adventure. I dream of making photography a full time career, but sometimes I procrastinate processing my images because I’m afraid I won’t do it right. I finally got around to processing my Pleiades data from last fall and I’m really happy with it. Now I need to get over the next hurdle and start sharing my work online. Antoine, I watched this with a very empathic heart and spirit, and offer my prayers and support. Having lost my father due to stroke and related health issues two years ago, and attempting to deal with people who persistently tried to take advantage of his situation, I'm very familiar with the physical aspects of stress and anxiety. It was to the point that I felt tight in the chest, my heart rate was elevated, and I dreaded waking up each day to whatever bizarre situation I would have to deal with regarding Dad and the people I was trying to protect him from, including himself at times. You're correct to seek help via meditation, prayer, positive activities, and the love and support of friends and family and hobbies! Knowing it and facing it will make you stronger and able to conquer it, and this video is a huge positive step in that journey. It's a process that takes time, but you will come out the winner! Always know and trust that you are not alone. Cheers and a Bro Hug from western Indiana!

Like most of us, we had no idea you were fighting these panic attacks. it can't be easy at all and we all commend you for speaking out and sharing your battles. Like others have said you're not alone in this and I hope astrophotography can help bring you some solace and respite from these feelings of stress and negativity you feel. It's good to see you again, clear skies to you mate.

Thank you for being so strong to be able to tell all of us about the struggles you have been having. I’ve never had a “panic” attack but i have had minor anxiety attacks before. They are not fun at all. It is very important to find ways to calm yourself down and remind yourself that you are safe and ok. You are definitely not alone with this. You always have people who care about you guys and will help with whatever you need. I hope you and Dalia are doing well and I look forward to your future videos.

All credit to you, hopefully this video is a step in the right direction. I, like many have experienced this, try not to put pressure on to yourself to feel better. It will come, it will take time, but you will realise moments when those fears were not present, then those moments of no fear will gradually increase over time. Like good Astro photography it takes time and work. Good luck.

Hey, Antoine. Sounds like a tough way to go. Keep on working through it, but don't let it define you... Instead, you can define its role in helping you to become the man you have always wanted to be for yourself, for Dalia, and for astrophotography. Merry Christmas to you and Dalia, and make it an awesome New Year!

Just an incredible video, never in my wildest dreams would I have thought you suffered from panic attacks! I think this courageous video will help many people who think they are the only ones dealing with it. I know exactly what you are talking about as I had the first one at about age 16, just walking home from church, ran home, got in bed and pulled the covers over my head. At about age 35 or 40 finally started getting over them. Hang in there buddy, you can grind them down too.

Tnx for sharing this with us. You are so brave. I have a son with the same problems. It is true what you say that the outside world (even as a parent) will never fully comprehend what is going on inside the brain during a panic attack. I wish you all the wisdom, strength and most of all love to overcome these anxiety problems.

Thank you so much ❤️ Yes it is such a horrible feeling. My parents tried to understand and help when I was in France but indeed it is really difficult unless you've experienced one before. But knowing you are there for the person is definitely helpful.

Been following the channel for a few years now and I gotta say, I really admire you opening up about anxiety and panic attacks. It's not an easy thing to talk about but just know you have a community that will back you up and support you no matter what. Stay strong friend, there's always light at the end of the tunnel.
I guarantee this video will inspire someone to talk about their anxiety/panic as well.

I have been watching your videos on off for years. I like your aproach to the hobby. But i only just stumbled over this very video. You are very brave to share this with us. I know what it takes to come public with this issue, as i myself have been battling with this. My first ones started in the Year 2000. I know what caused it. But to this day i am not free of it. You heal, and then something triggers you again. You have good periods of time, but in my case it usually comes back when i feel the most that i am over it. And People close to you don't seem to understand it. So often when it hits you, you isolate yourself. Well... You are not alone. I have huge respect for you, sharing this. This is not easy. Best wishes to you. And please keep up the great content. This hobby made a huge difference for me aswell. Merci from Denmark

First off thank you for sharing this! I know all too well how hard it is to share this. I also had major problems with panic attacks for many years. Everything you said was the same as I felt. Pure loss of control of my mind and body, terrifying scary feelings etc. I always knew when an attack was coming on from numb lips, tingly fingers, heart racing. Then when it was over I was always completely drained of all my energy. It took years, medication and finally meditation and breathing techniques to get better. It does get better and I know you will be fine in time. Much respect to you my dude !! If you ever need someone to talk to about this, I am more than happy to chat !!

Well done Antoine, I think its great and will help alot of other people that have panic attacks. I know several people that get panic attacks. Did you ever go to where you got the cupcakes to see if that has happened before, drug-laced cupcakes? Sorry that happened to you my friend.
