I really appreciate that you reframed the "failure" as active problem solving. The fact that you leave your whole process in and don't edit out any turns a project takes is one of my favorite things about your content.
I have ADHD and I have wanted to make a RUclips channel for my art forever. But my interests are so varied I always thought my channel would be a garbled mess that doesn't make sense as a unit. I love this channel because you are so good at branding your videos with your logo, your intro, your music... all of your videos are just so... Shmoxd... even though you do a ton of different types of art. It gives me hope that maybe some day I can figure out a way to make a RUclips channel that works.
Honestly I relate so much and I have no experience to back this up but just go for it! Just wing it and you’ll (probably) eventually end up with a channel that works. Plus you can create as many channels as you want if you have a bunch of emails so a fresh start is always available
I think you should do it at least for fun and explore come on you only live once that's why I started my channel one of video got 16k I was shooketh that feeling of putting effort and people recognize you and your art its amazing do yea who knows if your channel blow up ..
I relate too tbh. I just started posting some covers and drawings but I get easily discouraged cause I'm thinking no one will care (and of course they won't ever get monetized because they're covers). I think the key is to "do cool things just because", not especially for people to watch.
The original rugs are a lot more than just trendy! Faig Ahmed’s work is designed to bring attention to the artistry of traditional Azerbaijani textiles. Just want to give credit where credit is due :)
I'm glad that you decided to show this & give us a part two instead of just scrapping it & making our part two the only video. It shows us that anybody can make mistakes & that it's ok to make them, even if it means you've got to start all over again. I hate when one of my projects doesn't turn out & I've got to start over again. It's so frustrating! But hey, we're only human lol
Always appreciative of when you share your failures/misadventures with us. It's very reassuring because with all the amazing finished products I see online I feel like I'm the only one who makes mistakes and that's very disheartening. It's great to be able to follow the learning curve with you too. Thanks Brian :)

Love the positive message of looking at failure as an opportunity for problem solving, as a creative you will 9/10 run into these tinny things that just don't work. I love how you decided to make it again from scratch so you're happy with it. This rug turned out great, but i think it's cool that you're happy to adapt and improve ^^

"I constantly have to be watching something while I work" I felt that in my soul, I have whole playlists dedicated to stuff I can watch while crafting lol
One of the issues you might be running into is the monks cloth you got is a bit too loose. I know for punch needling, you generally want to get the 2 by 2 style monks cloth because it’s the tightness of that style that will help keep the loops together. The one you are using is more for Scandinavian style tapestry work, which is a bit different. For tufting I believe there is also a different material as well. Try and get your monks cloth as taut as possible.
