THANK YOU FOR NOT BEING A GABI HATER. Gabi is one of my favorite characters in this show, and you nailed it right on the head when you pointed out the similarities between her and Eren. It creates a fascinating comparison/juxtaposition that makes this season really impactful as we get deeper into it. When S4E8 first aired the only thing I saw trending online was Gabi hate, and a lot of reactors tend to follow a similar path, but I should've known my goat was better than that.

look at the silver lining. The episode didn't leave you on the cliffhanger on whether Sasha died or not. You get a clear answer she did not survive, so no waiting for the next episode to find that out.
My cousin was so outraged by this episode that he quit watching, even after coming this far. He refused to watch AOT again. I know you are ahead, and the show takes a real turn detailing some of the impact of Sasha's life and death, but this moment was so gutting that it still makes me tear up and I've seen many many reactions. In fact some parts of the show make me even more upset than they did when I first saw them, because I was so shocked, and this is one. Erwin's charge and speech is another.
It's funny that the poeple who didn't really care about Sasha were the one beating kids but the one who actually cared about her (Jean and Conny) did nothing to Gaby and Falco. Gabi's rage is a lot like Eren's but Eren is kind of superhuman (or subhuman) in his drive. Also, Gabi is not a genderswapped Eren but much like a cross between Eren and a certain other character she gets briefly confused for later. That makes it more poignant to me.

WIT studio designed Hange as an obvious female and made one of the most badass female characters in the process. Mappa seems to have gone back to the source material though when designing s4 Hange.

It's not ridiculous to hate Gabi. I agree that she's a well-written character, but there are plenty of of hateable well-written characters. Well-written character doesn't equate to likable character. As for why I hate Gabi AT THIS POINT, it's not because she killed Sasha. It's because she's a brain washed hypocrite who kills for praise. Falco, on the other hand, is a well-written likable character. He's compassionate, unlike Gabi. Falco understood why Paradis did what they did, but Gabi's response was, "Did you see it? No? Then it didn't happen. Who cares?"

By the way, Conny said that he’s happy he, Sasha and Jean survived despite the many casualties, simply because he’s human.. It’s just realistic and human to feel relief after surviving with your best friends even though he’s simultaneously pained by all the killings that had to happen… and that was a perfect prelude to how Conny would react to Sasha’s death. And how you reacted to Sasha’s death proves how realistic Conny’s character is. 😂🥲
