- I bought myself a new bench power supply before I even started moving, and I've not had a chance to open it until now - well, not true, I've not had a chance to make an unboxing video until now!
It's the KEYSIGHT EDU36311A - And I bought it from Element14:

Compliments on your new work space. Sorry to mis most recent live sessions though did browse many times afterwards.
You will find it easy to learn the programming using both the Keysight tools and just commands sent via Lan or USB. Using a very well setup SCPI command system that is also used by many other companies and the VISA addressing of the instrument.
Firmware upgrades would normally be via memory stick and accessed via System, Store/Save, or Utilities menu, though might need nothing more than an upgrade file on the memory stick auto detected on insertion, usually though by selecting the file under menu, for example in save menu file directory listing.
Nice power supply) I have a Rigol DP832 (30V/3A, 30V/3A, 5V/3A) and it could use a bigger screen for sure. Also, I'm surprised how much latency the controls have (delay between button press and screen update). Usually Keysight tools are pretty snappy.
Yeah I noticed that as well, but didn't comment on it as I have nothing to compare it to.
I just got one of these also
Very nice !.....cheers.
With that display size, I would be poking at it too. 😅
Yeah, it's so meant to be a touch screen!
The 1 amp limit would be a nono for me. I'll stick to my 60V, 70A philips ... It doesn't have a touch screen but it weighs enough to sink the titanic a second time.
Whats the reason that you went for such a big and bulky power supply? I mean I like it but for a low power psu relatively large.
Because of noise? Connectivity ?
being the first 2 here to view we should get a free one yes? Allan
I purchased this but returned it because I am not able to change the resolution..like if you want to increase the voltage or current at say 10mV or 10mA increments....
Why only 1 Amp?
Thanks for the video but the video is bit out of focus sadly.
Nice. Hmm maby you need to go to a gym. 🙂
good psu is heavy bruh
