I have a photo with Naim, which I am proud of. We talked for half an hour. That was in February 2000, before Sydney olympics. Incredibly humble and nice guy. He told me how he started weightlifting. He said he was going to swimming, and one of the weightlifting coaches saw him and thought he would be a good weightlifter. This is at the age of 8. Now think about how gifted he was to be recognized at that age. Such a humble guy with no marketing done for him. I see him definitely an underrated sportsman. These liftings are from 60kg category. Later on, they changed the categories. Now, today 95% of the 68kg category cannot lift 190kg in clean and jerk. He was some sort of a freak in a sense. Rest in peace. Nur icinde yat.

So Lasha’s actual total of 484 is still less than Naim’s Sinclair of 500, but if Lasha breaks that 500, he’s the best. Even better than Naim, especially as a super.
