Nice fish marra , solway has been cleaned out of buckies-whelks over the last 20 years these eat dogfish and skate eggs other than them no predators will touch them seems to tie in with the codling decline over the years could get buckets of whelks over low water I hardly see and now 🤷♂️ just my opinion. Keep up the good wuk
We had 2 years after 2020 that was my best ever winter season I had 85 with fish to just under 9lb then the next year poor last year great year loads of 2 to 3lb fish this year barely anything again

I agree with you about the dog fish mate 😂 shocking things especially when your putting out cart baits ,, had no idea just how tough the cod fishing is down your way,, obviously I know the east coast has nothing but cod in some places especially around Arbroath to Aberdeen the fishing can be red hot,, all the same that's a half decent one you landed happy days 👍👍 cheers 🎣

Horrible things mate but got to keep going I've had 3 sessions since 11 hours of fishing not a bite.
