    I know the focus of the vid was on the AC Max EDC bag but I gotta say, I absolutely love this style of video! Showing the different carry options really hit home for me because I am someone that uses a 26L bag daily (work/gym/travel). Awesome job!!

    Great video, again! Thanks. When you pack without packingcubes it is soo much easier to overview what really fits in the bag. Keep up the good work man!

      Thanks so much! Great to hear! I’m not a huge fan of packing cubes to be honest. Bags are so well designed now, you don’t even really need them.

    Great video and thank you for showing us your packing style. I tend to "borrow" other packing styles, but your setup worked well. I have to admit though, that I see this smaller Max EDC and can't help but prefer using my AC Max 30L for travelling. Not just because of the capacity but because everything is designed so well. I can definitely see this smaller Max EDC appealing to a lot of people looking for a smaller bag for travel. Best regards!

      Thanks for watching! And totally agree on the regular Max backpack, it’s probably a better choice for long term travel. The Max EDC is definitely more set up for everyday use but I think it works well for a long weekend trip!

    Awesome review! Any issues with the bottom strap attachment to the A-frame digging into your back? I bought one but it causes sharp digging into my side/rib cage making it unwearable. Super bummed since I absolutely love the bag otherwise.

      Thanks for watching! Oh no that sucks that’s happening. I haven’t experienced that or heard about that problem. Maybe the one you got has a defect?

    Impressive, I have to admit. Is this backpack available in Europe? Maybe you know, since you are partnering with the brand.

      @outenthelights  2 месяца назад +2

      Yeah I believe they do ship to Europe! They have a pretty small list of stockists but if you buy from their site, it shouldn’t be a problem then.

    Does this qualify as a personal item & will it fit under the seat in an aircraft? Thanks great video 😃

      Thanks so much for watching! It will depend on the airline. Probably not for budget ones like Spirit or Frontier but I think you’ll be able to for United or American.

    • @eskamobob8662
      @eskamobob8662 2 месяца назад

      I've litteraly brought a full carry on size duffel backpack for united and no one even blinked. They don't care at all if you are in an early boarding group

    • @outenthelights
      @outenthelights  2 месяца назад +1

      Yeah I feel like this is the general sentiment for most airlines other than the extreme budget ones.

    How roomy is the front shoe compartment? Can it fit hi-top shoes?

    • @outenthelights

      It’s decent! I think you could, just gotta maneuver them in kind of sideways.

    Thanks great video. 2 weeks is definitely doable but not much extra space. Have you used a new mic? Your voice seems slightly different than usual?

      Yeah definitely using every last inch for two week travel! Actually, just getting over a cold - lost my voice earlier this week ha. Hopefully back to normal by next weeks vid!

    Thanks for the vid, it's been helpful. Even with your pretty minimal travel setup, it doesn't look like the bag can fit a lot of clothes. I'm also curious how it would take the packing cubes. My use case would be 2 PD packing cubes (one small and one medium) and a dopp kit. Still split between the Max EDC and CTB26 :(

    • @outenthelights
      @outenthelights  2 месяца назад

      Thank you for the continued support! Yeah you’re spot on - basically two packing cubes and a dopp kit will be what’s going to fit. Haha it’s a tough decision. If you’re willing to spend a little more, I recently tried out the Pioneer Panda Pack which I thought was pretty awesome too for two week travel!

      @@outenthelights yeah, I'm fine spending up to $500 if a bag is gonna last me a decade (I'm currently using a GR1 that I bought back in 2014 and it's still going strong). Max EDC has the sexiest looks on the market IMO. Especially that combination of olive green and beige internal lining. They even put nice touches of orange on the zipper pulls… CTB26 looks more like a regular backpack but has its own low-key aesthetic to it + it has a very thoughtful internal organization and most compartments have their own volume. Geez, it's tough… Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check out the Pioneer bag as well

      @@outenthelights Hey mate, just wanted to let you know that I ended up buying the Max EDC in olive green. I haven't traveled with it yet but it looks and feels absolutely amazing. Such a beautiful and functional bag that looks very well made.

    Isnt it a little dirty to place your shoes in that front pouch?

    • @outenthelights
      @outenthelights  Месяц назад +1

      Nah, I don’t think so. The bag is easy to clean between uses too. If you are concerned, you can use a cloth shoe bag too and then put them in there!
