leechers are those who only download but DON'T upload anything, you are NOT a leecher just for downloading stuff. most torrent clients will automatically start seeding as soon you start a download even if you only have a part of the full fill and continue to seed once the download if finished. so unless you deliberately turn those settings off, everyone is a seeder once you started a download.

yes it does, but you can set an upload speed limit, or just stop seeding. But it is best for the community to not stop seeding and cut off ALL the uploads.
Hey I got torgaurd and used your code. Thanks! Works great, question on torrents downloading really fast and then they get to 97% + and seem to be stuck for days or even weeks until they complete to 100%. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Or is it just based on the seeders?
I recentley recieved a notice from my ISP today actually. I periodically turn my VPN off since every server is notacibly slower. I download a emulated version of Zelda breath of the wild. since it was an old game and i didn't want to buy a switch. i Turned the VpN OFF after the download is done however my internet was still downloading a complete file. It came up as "seeding" even after it was done and i was even playing the game. I came to the conclusion that because it was coming up as downloading still and my VPN was off they found out. Im gonna lie low for a while but next time (which i shouldn't do) imma make sure i completely stop the download to make sure i dont get caught. i only wanted the one game however it was illegal didn't find out until after i started. this was 2 weeks ago. Make sure if u torrent keep your VPN on and make sure there's no trace and protect yourself. Overall its best to not torent at all. If u decide to make sure you do it right. also split tunneling may have your server for YT be fast but for your torrenting sight be safe. again i know i messed up and i should not have done this as simple its the best option.
I think you mean utorrent? Not much, they're all torrent downloading clients. There's a rumour utorrent launches some mining software on your machine lol. Qbit Torrent is an excellent choice as the video guy said, you can always run 1 or more at any time, uninstall one and move to another if you'd like. There's Deluge too which is also a great one.
VPN torrent into virtual machine? Ideally little difference. Opening your download in virtual machine if you think it has virus etc… thats great. Overall VM does add other benefits worth looking into. Using vps/vpn online in general great!

This is due to the way torrents work, it makes it nearly impossible to build anything extra in the file. At most, the threat is, if you download a movie or song that data exchange might notify your ISP or whoever, that concern is part of the reason for TOR/VPN/VPS. Most folks that are aware of the issues and want to protect privacy, or have their data collected by spyware or viruses, this is why ppl use stuff like TOR, VPN/VPS, and VMs, encryption, burner accounts and devices. Back to DL’s GitHub is checked and overall safe, like torrent dl’s I never heard of any virus issues there. Hope that covers your base and a few steps further. If not let me know.

Because Copyright Trolls will still figure out who you are, ISPs keep logs of the IP addresses you had used before for whatever amount of time. Good VPNs will tell them that they don't keep logs (probably even if they secretly did) and everyone lives happily after. Not using a VPN is absolutely not an option assuming you are German, Copyright trolls won't just give you a little scare they will give you the most outrageous fine ever and make you file bankruptcy (the fine is around 1000 euro maybe more or less)

Lime Torrents, The Pirate Bay, and YIFY. Are ok. YIFY has small files but great 1080p pic quality. But all MP4. No TrueHD Dolby Atmos 7.1 Sound. Except for TPB and Lime Torrents.
If it was your first time most probably your ISP won't notice that and if they noticed the will send you a warning to stop doing that or get you fined. the safest way for torrenting is using a reliable paid VPN, this way you can download anything freely because the vpn will hide your real IP address and encrypt your connection so the ISP can't see what you are surfing or downloading.
