When i was playing the original re2 in bed. I got a breakfast in bed one morning while playing it. Well, breakfast in bed became breakfast on bed when the licker mirror jumpscare happened 🤦♀️
As a casual fan of the series, I would love it if the lads did a chronological plot/ storyline overview just so we all can hear about the cool lore/ characters/ major events in the series.
i was literally just thinking about that moment, partially bc of this video partially bc i was playing re revelations today. it was disturbing the 1st time and everytime after that
Welp, time to update the list with *THAT* moment in Resident Evil Village. But seriously, nothing scared me more than watching zombies (that you previously killed) waking up as crimson heads in Resident Evil Remake, I was not expecting that.
Yea that’s number one for me. I’m actually playing through Village of shadows for the second time, it’s way easier the second time, and i just got to that part. It’s not fun the second time though lol
Can't believe the scariest part of re 4 wasn't mentioned lol. The spider Las plagas form is way too creepy and especially the freeze frame operating table room with them connected to a body when your trying to get the key cards always got me where I had to try my best to not aim the camera near them so I could sleep that night.
I forgot all about the end credits in RE4. They are so unsettling, just watching the gradual progression of a peaceful farming village to an absolute nightmare. The shots of the man hunched over in his chair with a maniacal look in his eyes and the woman standing in a room with what appears to be a dead child particularly stand out.
I'd say the first Crimson Head encounter in REmake when going to get the armor key. Since it's the only mainline game they appear you probably don't know about them before playing REmake. Going over what you think is a normal zombie corpse only to have it jump up suddenly and run at you gave me a mini panic attack the first time it happened
The mirror jump scare that got me the worst was in the original RE2 when you are on the playthrough where you get to actually see through the 1 way mirror from the window side, and they still manage to send a jump scare through it. And I swear I recall you actually get to go into the mirror side first, see nothing in there, and then get jump scared on the window side after that.
These crazy englishmen are not only funny, but they even interact with us the audience, which makes for a better experience for everyone, in my humble opinion! Keep the great work guys!
7:50 Totally Agree. Also, the music that plays (Sorrow) is one of the best in the series. Everytime I finish the game, I listen to it and it always feels unsettling. Amazing game.
While Resident Evil Village may not be as consistently scary as the other titles on this list. I can safely say that the mutant baby you face in the Doll House is utterly terrifying. You are already feeling on edge when you notice the lights suddenly go off, and a trail of blood leading to your only exit. As soon as I saw that horrible creation with it's enormous mouth heading towards me, I could feel my heart quickly pick axe it's way out of my body. The fact that you have to go through the whole thing without weapons makes this whole ordeal a long moment of sheer panic. The cradle dropping in Rockabye Baby doesn't seem so bad when you imagine that grotesque infant dropping into the deepest part of hell.
When we go after Angie in RE8.. That house was nightmare fuel material! I feel like it was a reference to P.T./Silent Hiills, dark room with red lights and no guns allowed and the baby monster thing... P.T. reference.
Scariest thing for me was the difficulty of playing Resident Evil for the first time as a kid and the learning curve that came with discovering that this was unlike all my other games. Enemies that would not go down with one hit, a knife that was practically useless (especially to a child that was use to snes side scrollers, limited ammo, horrifying enemies and an equally scary soundtrack to go with it and whats that!? Limited saves!??!?! 😱😱 I didnt even have a memory card! The actual game itself was grim, brutal and depressingly difficult for a young newcomer like me and it scared me off for years ever playing it again. It wasnt until I later finished Dino Crisis that I was confident to approach RE again. Thanks for the mental scars Capcom.
And it's definitely the better scare as you weren't expecting it. In the remake as soon as you walk into the room you already know it's coming, just don't know when.
Here's something missing: the opening of Resident Evil 3. The moans of Nemesis bellowing "S.T.A.R.Sssssss" is panty dropping and you better get away from him but don't fret, Nemesis will continue to appear and try to kill you throughout the whole game/remake! On the subject of Nosferatu, I'd always call him the "Guy Who Flickers the Lights".
When I was a a 12 yo back in 2002 I had a RE3 disc for my PS1. The way I used to play it was: 20 min gameplay - 20 min break for my heart to start beating normally again. As I live in Russia the sun sets pretty early here, especially in the winter. So just remembering this dark nights when I was trying to make Jill escape RC still gives me chills.
That is lovely to see community - creator feedback loop of just chatting about games! i mean these guys are nothing compared to Vidiots but hey still good show! (just so that nobody whines about this yes i know the 2 / 3ds of Vidiots are tripple jump, you can NEVER be too careful when trying to make funny, people are intently misinterpreting things)
I've been enjoying Resident Evil for the first time recently with the RE3 Remake and I can safely say that the scariest thing has been inventory management.
I can’t believe I’m saying this but I think village maybe my favorite RE game of all time. Definitely between 4, 2 Remake and village. I keep going back to village to play through and have sooo much fun. I wish it was like two hours longer. 2 more worlds and it would’ve been my favorite game of all time probably.
The Giant snake in number 1 and spider ! Also Neptune the Shark, I don't have a fear of sharks I have a fear of dark deep unknown Water which is called thalassophobia so it was more scary 😳 the unknown. I personally think they should have had a plesiosaurus instead of a shark with red eyes 👀. I'm a big dario Argento fan I love everything to do with red
I don't get the unneccessary sexualisation of female characters in the RE series. Seeing those cutscenes with Jill in a tube top making it look like she was naked, the weird jiggle physics in RE 4 on Ashley's chest, Jessica's pouty lips, heels and ridiculously tight outfits in Revelations... it just doesn't feel right and seems kinda forced.
I most say that the way brad dies was my biggest disappointment of RE3R. I was super looking forward to brads death in HD. But then by zombies. Smh. First of many disappointments in that game.
When i was playing the original re2 in bed. I got a breakfast in bed one morning while playing it. Well, breakfast in bed became breakfast on bed when the licker mirror jumpscare happened 🤦♀️
No matter how many times I play Resident Evil 4, the guy bursting out of the oven on fire still scares the living crap out of me.
They fucking did it again in RE5 but it was so out of place LOL
Agreed 😂
i'm loving all the RE content lately.
As a casual fan of the series, I would love it if the lads did a chronological plot/ storyline overview just so we all can hear about the cool lore/ characters/ major events in the series.
Me too
One moment that disturbed me was in Re Revelations, the infected crewman who constantly crying "mayday, mayday" as he's begging you to kill him
I'm huuuman huuuman I-I need hug
i was literally just thinking about that moment, partially bc of this video partially bc i was playing re revelations today. it was disturbing the 1st time and everytime after that

chilling
The transition moment in RE1 where the door opening seems safe till zombies appeared out of nowhere
You know what scared the hell out of me? In re2 remake when MrX bursted through the wall near the interrogation room scared the hell out of me

My vote goes to those damn dogs jumping through window in the original RE.

The end credits of Resident Evil 4 is a great pick. They always gave me similar vibes to the end credits of Monster

This was a great video! Would love to see more like this!
RE is so great. Those first four games, shaped a lot l of my childhood.
When we go after Angie in RE8.. That house was nightmare fuel material! I feel like it was a reference to P.T./Silent Hiills, dark room with red lights and no guns allowed and the baby monster thing... P.T. reference.
Dogs jumping through the windows in RE1
Those jackass dogs
Absolutely iconic
I like this format. I have no notes. This feeling is quite strange for me.

The original Resi 2 has the same mirror jumpscare as well!
And it's definitely the better scare as you weren't expecting it. In the remake as soon as you walk into the room you already know it's coming, just don't know when.
Madhouse difficulty as a whole in RE7 is scariest

On the subject of Nosferatu, I'd always call him the "Guy Who Flickers the Lights".
Also all the zombie dogs in every re game are so scary. They always move out of the way when I'm shooting at them lol
I remember when I first played RESIDENT EVIL 4 and I first encountered the Bella sisters I pretty much said "$@&% me"
The mirror jumpscare was better in the original RE2 imo.
1:08 that should've been number 1
My scariest RE moment: I want to start playing it.

Support TripleJump! Join the Walrus Clan!
as dumb as it is, falling through the stairs in the original resi 2 was one of the biggest scares a game has ever gave me
Was hoping for the giant snake in the Attic from Resident Evil director's cut, I was like 10 it gave me nightmares
The good thing about Nosferatu was that he smacked Steve
That is lovely to see community - creator feedback loop of just chatting about games!

If the dogs jumping through the windows of the first hall of RE 1 isn't top spot, well I just don't know what is scary anymore.
I've been enjoying Resident Evil for the first time recently with the RE3 Remake and I can safely say that the scariest thing has been inventory management.
(Alex Wesker)
EXPERIMENT ON ME HOT SCIENCE MAMA.
alex wesker 😩
I can’t believe I’m saying this but I think village maybe my favorite RE game of all time. Definitely between 4, 2 Remake and village. Re4 forever
RE3: Nemesis jumping into the RPD throught the window
Commentor edition?
*nice!*
8 hours in to Resident Evil VIII (Village) and I still think the original 2 games are the best and definitely the scariest.
Wholly agree. A lot of people say 7 was scary but I didn't feel that way
Brad deserved all he got after pissing off in the helicopter.
Lisa Trevor...all of her.
The Regenerator from RE4. That sound…. 😅
Wow! This is such a cool and unique idea. Great job guys!
Great script Cat
It'd be nice to see one of the recent re games make it into gamepass because I don't play horror games enough anymore to warrant a purchase
RE 7 and 2 remake come on sale frequently
Is a pity RE3R screwed up Brad’s epic death.
Metal gear countdown!
Lisa Trevor should be on this list

0:17 I'M FAMOUS!
They probably left all those comments because you asked them to.
HUNK!!

Walrus clan 4 lyfe
What game is it at 2:45
Your mum is a nice lady
And your dad is absolutely heterosexual
@@cOnT3STHe's dead
the attempts at jokes come off as desperate
They should play RESIDENT EVIL 3 or RESIDENT EVIL 4 but not the remakes cause the old games are the best and scary
Re1 must've been about 12 n me n my mate playing a copied version seems so long ago being scared of a dog made up of like 8 polygons 😀good times
do the same for silent hill!
what's with the cadence? it's very annoying.
I most say that the way brad dies was my biggest disappointment of RE3R. I was super looking forward to brads death in HD. But then by zombies. Smh. First of many disappointments in that game.
was Emma the only female comment?
