Unfortunately there are a fair percentage of people who could break an anvil and it looks like you found one. Having seen what acquaintances have done to rental cars I am curious if the off road community is better or worse? Then again I suppose some hunters may not necessarily be actual off road enthusiasts but view the trail time as a nuisance taking time away from their preferred activity. Is this type of thing a common occurrence?
We have been doing rentals for a little over two years now and in the Moto community it's been very good. Yes people do crash bikes but the people are always upfront and honest and we are usually very forgiving for that kinda thing. The E bikes and pedal assist are a different breed all together. They break stuff and blame us haha. Or deny breaking stuff. Really this is why we go through a third part for insurance but it is interesting to see the difference in the community.
@pharettface I'm not surprised to hear that as we have a mtn bike park right next to our property and have had some unfortunate experiences. The mindset of a percentage of the customers is problematic.
Sucks they didn’t take great care of it, but I can’t say I’m super surprised. There are oodles of these e-bike manufacturers coming out of the woodwork and they’re slapping together bikes with components that weren’t really intended to deal with the rigors of e-bike life, let alone a rental one. The derailleur may have survived being smacked when it was strapped to a 30lb MTB, but the force of something three times that and in snaps like a twig.
Yeah that is really a good point and my biggest issue with what was once a $6k E bike. You really would expect far more robust components. Coming from dirt bikes its quite the disappointment. That said this bike has been rented quite a few times with out issue and I don't mind so much that people cause damage it happens just don't be a dick about it.
You rent out the bike but you don't offer a flat repair package upsale option? Why on earth would you send someone to Walmart for items to improve the quality of YOUR customers experience? Get your act together man....
Hahaha Funny enough I do, customer declined it. Also, do for my dirt bikes. Here's the the thing, I wouldn't trust this dude to even figure out how to take the core out. I recommend he could get slime himself because HE thought it was a waste to rent a slime kit. I offer tireject good shit works well in tubes. Truth is most of these hunters thag rent these couldn't care less about how they work or how to fix them. Now that all said with the amount of thorns through both tires and tubes no amount of slime would have helped. Very careless.
As I said we go through a 3rd party who insures our rentals. The renter does have a deductible though. In fact I don't even deal with the pay said at all for the customer. Too many issues with people. This video just highlights issues that can happen if you venture into rentals.
@@TrustedSilver1987 What is he cry about, he is stating what occurred with a sh1tbag renter...it's a PSA for those looking to rent. Hey, are you the renter? LOL
This guy pretty much had quite a serious crash.
Judging from the damage done on the bike, I am surprised that he could walk back into the shop.
The scratches on the frame looks like from the handlebars or brake levers hitting it?
Exactly, this guy crashed hard and lived to tell the tale, in stead of being in a wheelchair the rest of his live.

Rich people problems? 😆. If I were rich I sure wouldn't be dealing with people like this.
