Risk, just as Monopoly, has the tendency to end in an absolute slog-fest between the two surviving players. If there are no victory cards other than 'dominate all', it's usually just better to just go "ok, you win" when the inevitable happens.

The fellas kinda of suck at this game. Take at least one territory per turn. If you don’t think you can defend it, don’t try. Just pull all but one of your army back to the territory you attacked from. Station large armies in choke points. Always try and break controlled continents by stealing a single territory and then retreating. Try and use your choke points to secure your continent border and get that continent bonus. The rest is luck, and strategy.
I yearn for the day that Austin is no longer on the NLSS or part of their various groups. His personality is terrible and if he's not trying to control every aspect of every game, he's either singing poorly or making everything political like his "everyone in the south is racist" comments during the second game. Also the way he talks about how great texas is in this game, but any other time he talks about how bad it is, is ironic because he lives in Austin.
