@@DanteBasili Yes very true indeed. Thank you for promoting Shuaijiao in Europe and on RUclips. 👍👍🙏🙏
With the re-installment of Shuaijiao to the National Games, hopefully more young athletes will learn and practice Shuaijiao.

Idk why but everything cool Ive ever read about SC is never reflected in the demonstration of the actual art.

This, the Beijing school, is a good example of actual art. There are also other historical schools.

@@DanteBasili specifically what I'm referring to is the use of Chi na to grab opponents rather than rely on Gi. Also the throws are said to land opponents on head therefore making the breakfalls different than a judo fall. And from all I've seen SC relys on the uniform to grab and the throws don't seem to land opponents on head.

There is a lot of difference between martial art and sport. Of course what you are talking about exists, but many of these techniques are considered prohibited in current competitions. ruclips.net/video/w-WkAc8SAdE/видео.html

The gripping sequences are practical as most people don't walk around without a shirt. That said, nearly all the throws can be adjusted for no gi (Dalian). In fact, Master Li teaches a training drill called "Grab the EEL" which starts from the over/under hook position. I lived in Beijing for over a decade and Master Li was my teacher.

They basically ripped off judo and made a weaker imitation of it.

Ciao. Shuai Jiao does not derive from Judo, but from the Mongolian and Manchurian wrestling 🙏🏽

Judo and other Japanese arts came from Chinese and Mongolian arts.

Well, what an asshole these damns!!! judo sucks in front of shuai jiao!!!!
Japanese martial arts are not that strong, only Shorin Ryu karate and kykushin, but Chinese martial arts are much better! they are WAR Arts!!

You not of what you speak, my friend. I have done Shuai Jiao in the US and in China (for 11 years). I have trained and taught Judo for decades. I was also a wrestler in HS and I'm a Professor of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Believe me when I say, Shuai Jiao is another sophisticated grappling art with a 4000 year old history, and Li BaRu is the best there is. He is the guest of honor at all major Martial Art events in Beijing and around the country and everyone who is anyone in Chinese martial arts (traditional and modern) knows who he is and respects him.

@@morpheus3128 your claims have no standing.. your credentials could all be a lie. I'm also trained in all three grappling styles. The same ones as you. A lot of shuiao jiao techniques look like they have been copied from judo. Just saying.
