Joe Louis was SO OUTSTANDING. He kicked this monster's ass. Just destroyed him. Watch Joe's accuracy. It's a thing of beauty. Some people think Joe Louis was the GREATEST heavyweight champion of all time. He held the title from 1937 to 1949. That in itself speaks of his utter greatness.

Abe had a hell of a chin, though. He kept getting up even if on wobbly legs, whereas Primo and Buddy Bear both went down like a sack of bricks when Louis landed clean.

@@wanderer1955 three things Joe Louis is famous for a left hook, he ends this fight with a left hook. Every single time Ali was floored it was by a left hook. Joe Louis in this fight is constantly pressuring, Ali's major loses are both to pressure boxers, who are no where close to Louis's level.
Third how has boxing moved on, go on, show something that todays fighters can do that would shock Louis... Heck even in areas like nutrition which we have got better at, but when you look at modern 6ft 4 260lb fighters of today they have pot belly's, Abe's here all muscle with a layer of fat for energy reserves in the fight.
