Seeing him after the Quintessence field was so haunting. If they showed his face I'm pretty sure I'd have cried 10 times harder. And when we see him with his parents in the end? Such profound and bittersweet pain. This show could have been handled infinitely better than what we got... and even though they did Lotor and most of the other characters dirty, they delivered some pretty powerful imagery here and there. Most notably this. Every time I rewatch this is like the first: absolutely heart wrenching and breathtaking all the same.
YES! I have been STRUGGLING to find more recent Voltron AMVs because the fandom is literally DEAD after season 8. Ah, this is perfect! And tragic! And killing me!
Augh that last shot just reminded me how this show trashed one of it's most interesting characters. What exactly was the point of building a backstory after showing his melted corpse? I still am buying the theory that his arc and so much more was written out of the show. 66.media.tumblr.com/eaac64b481e44a8efe7e3b9575f533e2/tumblr_pkwjk5UC7v1r33rer_1280.jpg
I was absolutely obliterated with disappointment and agonizing sadness from seeing his melted corpse and then him with his father and mother finally moving on from all the pain and suffering. We could have had something amazing if the writers went with some of their original ideas that were rejected. I was particularly looking forward to more positive interactions between my two favourite characters, Lotor and Keith. It's a shame.
Did anyone cry when lotor appeared during allura’s goodbyes in the last episode? I literally broke into tears and I never cry 😢lol. I always hated lotor during earlier seasons and I swear every time I saw him in season 8 (in memories and visions and stuff) I got so sad 😭

justice for my boy
You can’t- you can’t just do this to me. Not after one year. It’s not fair. I expect emotionally compensation
