I love you tutorials...I just made some of these with the fold over rose technique and I agree it took a couple of times, but it does get easier after practice...now I need to assemble the headband withy the netting. Can't wait to see it on my 1 month old daughter. Thank you for the great tutorials.
+Yezmin Arroyo Aww! You are very sweet! I have just made A LOT of these little flowers! Practice seems to be the key. You should see some of the very first flowers I made! Thank you for taking the time to comment! xo
+Yezmin Arroyo Keep practicing! I am sure your flower is beautiful! The fun part about this flower is that no two flowers are exactly the same. They are all unique! :)
+Tasnuva Khaleque Hi there! Great question! I used cotton fabric (like the fabric you would use in quilting) however, you could also use a cotton/polyester blend. Cotton fabric tends to tear easily. Hope this helps! xo
+Emilie Lefler Thanks a lot dear. I love your headband tutorials. Those are amazing. I have a baby girl of 9 months old. I made headbands for her using your tutorials. Fantastic! keep it up
+AkaYukiChan I bought this Russian netting a few years ago from an online store that is not longer in business. I would check on etsy - I have seen some beautiful netting that is reasonably priced. Hope this helps! :)
I'm not sure what I'm missing but for me this is a complete fail I cant seem to get the fold and glue right. I did watch the hat pin version and that made it worse. I love the look of these flowers. I just can't get it.
+Litfromwithin Oh dear! How frustrating! It was confusing in the beginning for me as well! I am assuming you have watched this video for the basic fold over rose. This video has the most basic instructions. LINK FOR HAT PIN ROSE TUTORIAL - ruclips.net/video/sgkfHI8W4W8/видео.html My only other suggestion is to make sure when you begin to fold the ribbon over make sure you decide what side is going to face "up" and make sure that side stays facing "up" the entire time you are folding the ribbon. I hope this helps! Good luck! xo
Hi, the headbands for baby are very creative and lovely. However, personally, I think that adding any kind of embellishment to the headbands can be dangerous.
Shelia Blaize Hi! You bring up an excellent point. Embellishments can pose a dangerous risk for small babies. When wearing any type of headband I feel that a baby should be under constant supervision. I feel that these headbands work best for photo shoots and special occasions. Of course, if this is something you are concerned about I would avoid them altogether! Thank you for taking the time to comment!
These are just adorable and feminine, just what every baby girl should be adorned with. Thanks so much for sharing your ideas and creativity!
Love the combination of the darling fabrics with the russian netting. This would be a perfect baby headband for a grandchild.
