I appreciate the info! I am definitely doing this until I get the complete delete kit. Got my FMF on yesterday, and it pops like crazy lol. Power Commander is on order too. Love my 300R!
@@JAIME101329 big difference in power? No. It is a noticeable difference. The best part is that the bike runs cooler. The header doesn’t get red hot anymore.
@@ryanbreton69 did you do this mod? does it stop your decel backfire? I have the 21 300r with the Pro Circuit T6 and the Power Commander V and it the backfire wasn't too bad at first, but has gotten worse.
I just did the T6 slip on with PC6 on my 23 KLX300R, it was popping on the decel pretty bad and this mod fixed it. A 1/2 inch Pex cap fits perfect for the tube. Question has any problems occurs long term doing this?
Hey KC. Thanks for all your vids. Really appreciate it. Couple questions: 1. Did you notice a significant power increase with the delcovic pipe and air box mod, or was it minimal? I'm trying to decide if it's worth the money or not. And 2. What brand front fender did you go with and does the green match the original pretty well? Thanks.
Thanks for watching!! It’s noticeable at low end , a small amount of extra torque to lift front wheel over obstacles & on top end it’s seems to let the bike wind out farther. I wouldn’t call it significant. But you’ll notice it. The front fender is a 2021 kx450 Acerbis, it matched right up color wise. You’ll need a couple of washer spacers on the 2 rearward bolts to tilt the fender away from frame down tube.
Hey KC do u plan to put a tuner onnit? If not please share why? I have a delkevic, a higher flowing snorkel and thinking of the ejk. I have the pipe n snorkel but have yet to install it. I was thinking of doing it all at once with other mods like the ejk. My thought is that the pipe, hinflow snorkel n ejk helps squeeze out that lil bit more power to make the bike a bit more punchy but still reliable. I have the supermoto model
I have air box opened up & Delkevic. I put over 100mi. On it with that set up, did a spark plug check , it’s not showing any signs of burning lean , so I’m not doing the EJK. I’m satisfied with power. I
@@kcoutside7143 sounds great thanks alot KC i appreciate ur help. Do u have an IG or FB? Im new to the scene and im also tryna learn what mods r availavle for this bike
Thanks for the info!! I just purchased a 2022 KLX300 and in process of mods. I decided to leave off the ejk, at least for now. Many say it's not worth the money.
I haven’t, from past experience with other bikes , I don’t like to do programmers or mess with throttle bodies, it always seems to allow other issues to pop up, I’m fine with the power I’m running with now. The pipe & snorkel improved my mid range over stock.
Ohh ok dug alittle deeper so that valve is just adding air to the exhaust to assure the bike burns any residual fuel that works past the motor into exhaust which is creating the pop so blocking it off keep that small amount of fuel from igniting the other way I’ve heard of decreasing this pop Situation if u have a programmer add fuel to zero throttle higher then idle rpm’s on map. I like this method better.
I finally got around to doing this wow what a difference I have pro circuit exhaust and dyno jet tuner on the Klx300r and after riding around for an hr the bike would backfire excessively, bike runs smooth now runs great thanks for the help
i have a honda crf 300l with a full aftermarket exhaust and ejk tuner. stage 1 mods. would the procedure be similar on the honda? i notice some decel pop, will this hurt anything if i dont bypass it? thanks for the info.
No tuner. I checked plug after 100mi. With Delkevic slip on, plug was not showing any signs of being lean. The line that I shoved wire nut into goes to head.
I have the PC full exhaust and dyno jet tuner with the KDX snorkel and the new tune that dyno jet has come out with. It pops like crazy but i dont really mind it. Is the popping bad? Or is everyone doing this just so it sounds better?
@@kcoutside7143 yeah, i just watched another video explaining the pair valve and it doesn't hurt anything. It's just putting fresh air into the exhaust getting rid of any unburnt gases or fumes. I like the sound so I like the sound for now. Good video.

You can put a marble in the hose and be on your way.

Well done on this, the new can and the airbox mod vids brother!
I have a full fmf exhaust with megabomb and power commander and I get pops and flame. Don't notice much gainz but going soon for a dyno tune
I crammed a plug in the hose and reattached hose on my 690 Enduro. No visible evidence.
Couldnt you just push the wire nut farther into the tube and plug it back in ?
Yes I have done that on past bikes.

Did you happen to unplug the pair valve plug/wire as well? Or just plug the line?
I only plugged up the line, wire is still connected. It will likely throw check engine light if wire is unplugged.
@@kcoutside7143 Gotcha! Yes, I unplugged it and it did throw light. As soon as I plugged it back in, light went off. Thank you.
Apologies for the simple question What is the purpose of the stock setup of the valve ur blocking off does this effect pressure in the head
I believe it sends gas fumes/vapor back to combustion chamber to be burned. I’m sure it would in some way change head pressure.

Should be identical.
Bro what about all the other hoses coming from the opposite canister closer to the gas tank
You can purchase kits on line , if you prefer to remove & block off everything.

Should b similar, I had a 250L prior, u could block it off same way.
just blocked off my pair valve on the 300l. decel pop is gone! was similar to your klx300.

How come when I took off the par valve oil came out
Not sure, mine didn’t have any in it, maybe oil was overfilled or dealer maybe leaned bike on its side for some reason, & oil got in.

Does the 22 klx300r have a pair valve? Or is it just the dual sport?
I’m not positive, but in California, the R model may have one, other states I don’t think so.
I think I would have simply plugged hose with the VAC. cap and then put the tube back on the valve...
You just cut to the part where you put the 2 Hoses together you never even explained anything else
