Audrey wrote a biography and she describes her great relationship with Gregory in it and how he helped her and how they were amazing friends all their life. It was beautiful.
Honestly if you're making fun of him in this video when he's clearly old and devastated because he lost a close friend, because of a joke from a show as stupid as Family Guy, you should be ashamed of yourself.
So proud to be a Bengali - and have known Rabindranath Tagore as part of my very own culture .. It’s so wonderful to know that he was Audrey Hepburn’s favorite poet as well ❤️🙏
I weep, from the beauty of toe mens words. RIP, Miss Hepburn & Mr. Peck. Two of the most dignified & classiest individuals Hollywood has ever, or will ever see. May God Bless the both of you.
Oh my....oh my. Gregory...of Audrey. A beautiful match from the start when he knew to give her first billing. A true friendship of the heart. Yes, I’ve heard Tagore before. He says it well. Let me listen again. And thank you Gregory. Thank you Audrey. So happy we ran across each other these lifetimes.
I have chosen to do Audrey Hepburn for a powerpoint assignment for on outstanding people and came across this poem. I can not stop reading it to myself.
Unending Love I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times... In life after life, in age after age, forever. My spellbound heart has made and remade the necklace of songs, That you take as a gift, wear round your neck in your many forms, In life after life, in age after age, forever.
I hope everyone that has been doing that stupid Family Guy meme knows that Gregory Peck's son has committed suicide, Seth Macfarlane has no respect for anyone and he's the main reason why we have idiotic people that are ruining society. When you do that meme you're not only disrespecting Gregory Peck but you're but you're also disrespecting his son and his family who went through a lot of tough stuff in life. This video is about a man talking about a very close friend who died show respect.
What a beautiful tribute and reading. Gregory Peck was a terrific actor and an even better human being. That is why I am rather dismayed to see people here associating Peck with a horrible Family Guy joke. There's far, far better things to remember and associate him with than a random cut scene! That aside, is there anyone today who could compare to Gregory Peck or Audrey Hepburn?
I consider my life as being somewhat as that depicted in Roman Holiday, by Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn, Mine brought forth a daughter and now a Grandson and one day another film will be made depicting the antics of "Grandpa and Grandson having fun" an expression used my may grandson. I am sure it will be as good as Roman Holiday!

I think he was in love with her, but can't possibly think of a reason why they didn't had a love affair, maybe they had one and we don't know of it. It's obvious he loved her.
He was a very distant uncle of mine...He was related to my grandparents Charlie Peck and Terri Peck. They told me tons about him. I'm glad I am related to him.....R.I.P Uncle....
The man is reciting a poem for his friend who had passed away and you people are making fun of the way he talks because of a cut-away joke from Family Guy. Show some respect to both Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn.
Say what u guys want on other Gregory Peck videos when appropriate. This has some meaning and is a dedication to an old friend of his. Consider respect & sympathy although its just YT. This is a recording of a special message, Im not against ur quoting with eachother, but joking around on this video and the like isn't fair. What if you had a message for someone close who passed away recently it got recorded and is on here People start making jokes about you from somewhere offensive to u or not?
The poem sounds as if it has an element of Reincarnation to it, my understanding is that as an adult, she rejected organized religion. So if she believed in Reincarnation, perhaps her and Mr. Peck will get to renew their friendship, perhaps even some of us may get to meet her. Even though we would have different appearances, it would still be us, and it would still be her...then we all could get to know her and appreciate her, all over again...that would be something...wouldn't it.
@JuanMacready Did he actually do anything to hurt anyone then? You're essentially condemning someone for their political views, and personal habits, most of which seem to represent a wide variety of people. You must be the happiest person in the world, given that ignorance is bliss.

You can tell he wanted to cry, his voice would crack at some points. They are my favorite on screen couple, There legacy will live with us forever

What a lovely poem he recited and what a beautiful tribute he made for the actress he adored.

Thank you for the upload. Gregory Peck reciting Tagore's poem for Audrey Hepburn... This is Divine!!!!
A superb tribute from a class-actor to a class-actor - very fitting.
Audrey's favorite poem. God bless them both.
+juan carlos lira I agree. I grew up watching their films - so many stars have passed away since then
Steve Pak I really admire Gregory and Audrey, they were and are still very beautiful artists and human beings. Greetings to you!
The original poem was written in Bengali by Nobel Laureate (1913- literature) Rabindra Nath Tagore.

Shame we don't have such actors no more
Love you Ms Hepburn
Just cried my eyes out
Memories are always sweet but sad, at least they'll meet in heaven
I lkee this tribute Greg gives dedicated to
Audrey.
His eyes while reading the poem.. So sad 😢
his best performance ever, as Atticus Finch in to kill a mockingbird.
if one person could narrate my life it would have been him.
roter13 The how and why of it is a bit sublime, I understand.

Well, she wrote a book about herself. She began writing it after she found out she was terminally ill.
@Digressor666 I can sort of agree but he was pretty good in Roman Holiday, his comedy was pretty subtle but still effective
I think he was in love with her, but can't possibly think of a reason why they didn't had a love affair, maybe they had one and we don't know of it. It's obvious he loved her.
I've read that Audrey & him are about' to b an offscreen couple but due to personal issues & wrong timing, they're not able to do so.
He was a very distant uncle of mine...He was related to my grandparents Charlie Peck and Terri Peck. They told me tons about him. I'm glad I am related to him.....R.I.P Uncle....
Greg was the best choice to play Robert Thorn in The Omen. Great performance
That is something else!
🙏♥️🙏
I wonder, dear Mr Bradley, if Princess Ann has ever arranged that thousand lire she borrowed from you to be returned to you. LOL^^
When you say, "a class apart", you have these two - Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn in mind.
They rarely make them now, like they used to.
You all have wooden hearts. This is a tribute to Audrey Hepburn.
thank you for sharing this

@fe2x dude u just made my day
all i could think about was the epic scene from family guy
spot on sir
@RichardElden Peck was exceptional. Clint Eastwood--HE's wooden.
She never wrote a biography. Her eldest son describes that subject in his book about her.
SO PROUD BE A BENGALI
@fe2x LMAO thank you for quoting that, I love that scene

It means nothing to me really but I seriously hope Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn were lovers. That's kinda like an art work.
I imagined a romantic movie with images and music with starrings Jane Wyman and Gregory Peck
The poem is written by RABINDRA TAGORE
@startug totally agree!!
@davenielsen78 yep!!!
Did he had to say the ending of Roman Holiday... ?
when this interview was taken? i wonder how old was he then.
Your leg is rubbing up against mine!
I wish Roman Holidays was in colour
@JuanMacready why would you say that?
@deriter64 totally
@davenielsen78 No, there is one actor who comes close: Steven Seagal.
@92af You mean Miley Cyrus.
@fe2x This might be the perfect comment.
