  • This lecture traces the roots of Psychology in Philosophy and Physiology. It covers the philosophical antecedents of Psychology from early and modern thinkers who have substantially contributed to the investigations of human mind, which is primarily about the connection between the body and mind. This lecture also briefs on the positions of various schools of Psychology.

    thank you so much sir for this course as this had made my learning quite effective since I'm in an ODL system for MA Psychology. But Sir I wanted to know whether you provided similar videos related to other topics of Psychology as well like: Life Span Psychology, Personality, research methods, social psychology and statistics in psychology. Since I need guidance in these fields as well.

    In India we had entire religions studying the nature of the mind and the self,from buddha himself, to Adi Shankaracharya and Nagarjuna and many more philosophical texts like Upanishads are solely dedicated to understanding the nature of the mind, and nothing was mentioned about them!
