You guys need to get the word out more on these FishSUPs. I wouldn't have a clue they even existed if it wasn't for Canal Cowboy's RUclips channel. Glad you have a sale, will purchase this month!

Would the dorsal fine spikes be able to poke through the board?

Inflatable hulls have been used by the military since 1838. French naval officer and biologist Alain Bombard crossed the Atlantic in one in 1952. After which Jacq Cousteau was convinced of its shallow draft and excellent performance. To date, the military, coast guard, law enforcement, fire departments, harbor masters, and many other emergency services around the world use inflatable watercraft. Even commercial fishing hulls and commercial passenger hulls are required to have safety boats. Most of which are inflatable. They've more than proven themselves.
While modern-day inflatable watercraft are not impenetrable. They are extremely durable. All Sea Eagle hulls with the exception of gateway entry-level Sport Kayaks and the SE9 are made with hull material that consists of a layer (some double-layer) of 1000 Denier PVC fabric with a high tensile strength inner woven nylon thread web sandwiched in between PVC layers. It's designed to compress when there is a puncture, mitigating and minimizing the size of most any hole. It also works to resist additional tearing/damage due to the PVC-reinforced material (1000 Denier). You'll find it's nearly impossible to tear and very hard to puncture with the exception of something extremely sharp and hard such as fish splines.
Because of this dynamic, if a pinhole occurs as a result of a fish spline the material will mitigate the leak by minimizing it until you get around to repairing it. A pinhole leak or even pinholes will never cause the hull or chamber to completely deflate. As a matter of fact, at some point, the leak will completely stop due to the fabric constricting tighter at a lower psi by design.
The following two videos demonstrate the durability of Sea Eagle inflatables and how they respond to hooks.

SeaEagle, when you get this SUP does it happen to have any type of hull ID or number like a regular boat/kayak? Just wondering as I know my state (Ohio) and a majority of other states do not require registering of SUP's and all three SUPs I have owned dont even come with one for that reason. Im asking because with the option to add a motor on this baby, I wonder how the local DNR would handle this lol. Im sure they will have a blank look on their face when I say I can run my sup with a motor (which most all states require some sort of registering of a powered boat) and always ask for a hull number. Not to mention putting boat numbers on the side is pointless with a sup anyways. Im almost ready to pull the trigger on this bad boy.

Aloha StuProductions, all our iSUPs come with a hull ID numbers in the event one wishes to use a motor. It's located at the starboard side rear as mandated by U.S. Coast Guard so you can register it. Be sure to always follow rules, regulations, and laws to avoid any issues.

What is the thrust of the motor? And at full tilt, how fast do you get? Thanks.

Here's a link to the electric motor ► sea.gl/VENOM34-YT, 4 mph full throttle, 1 hr runtime per 20 AH @ full speed. Thanks for watching! We hope you've subscribed to the Sea Eagle RUclips Channel for more videos!
