In this video, I will show you how to create a bootable USB drive with persistence using the free software Rufus. Persistence allows you to save changes to your live environment, such as installed software, files, and settings, so that they persist even after you reboot the system.
This is a great way to try out Linux without making any changes to your computer, or to use a Linux distribution for troubleshooting or pentesting.

The BIOS boot key varies depending on the laptop manufacturer and model. Some of the most common BIOS boot keys are:
Acer: Esc, F12, F9, Del, F2.
ASUS: F2 for all PCs, F2 or DEL for motherboards.
Dell: F2 or F12.
HP: ESC or F10.
Lenovo: F2 or Fn + F2.
Toshiba: Esc, F12, F2, 0.
Sony: F2, F1, Esc.
Samsung: Esc, F2, F10.
MSI: Del, F2, F11.
Asus: Esc, F2, F9, Del, F10.
Here are the steps involved:
Download the Rufus utility from the official website.
Connect your USB drive to your computer.
Launch Rufus and select your USB drive.
In the Boot Selection settings, select the "Create a bootable disk using ISO image" option and browse to the ISO image of the Linux distribution you want to install.
In the Partition scheme settings, select the "GPT partition scheme for UEFI computers" option.
In the File system settings, select the "FAT32" file system.
In the Persistence settings, select the "Create a persistent partition" option and specify the size of the persistent partition.
Click on the "Start" button to begin the creation of the live USB drive.
Once the creation process is complete, you can boot your computer from the live USB drive.
Here are some additional tips:
Make sure your USB drive is at least 8GB in size.
If you are using a UEFI-based computer, you will need to enable the "Secure Boot" option in your BIOS.
You can also use other tools to create live USB drives with persistence, such as Etcher and UNetbootin.

I followed each and every step, it was all ok but after i booted after changing os from bios, i got stuck in a page and was unable to boot. There were 3 paths (memdisk) (hd0) (hd1) and when i typed boot it showed i have to load the Kernel first. I went through a lot of vedios on youtube on than but none worked for me.

Keep plugged in ur pendrive ...do not remove while booting Kali live

Just change the boot type from uefi to legacy and disable secure boot

You can boot through that but you need to make a flashsable disk for live Kali ..if you want to install on hard drive then simple connect ur hard driver and install the Kali installer iso

Install network driver or use external wifi adapter

Install wifi drivers into your usb and plug in to install it in ur Linux machine

You don't need alot of space for booting Kali ...your Kali will be booting live on pendrive

While flashing pendrive make sure you have set the persistence size

No body are explaining why people are facing the grub error.
Set the grub to ur installed os hard-disk ...This might help you
@@techneil7 We people are trying to boot Kali live using a USB, If I want to boot it with my hard disk why would I choose live rather than bare metal?
The video is for live usb boot if you wants to install on hdisk then use the stable iso and install it on hdisk ...already video has been made check out
@@techneil7 Hmm I didn't say anything about hard disk here. Try to make a video on errors that popup while booting Kali live with a USB. If possible also finds the solution.
